@VR6T it's been a month, almost to the day... What's the official review of the 4.08 gears?

Way more torque, fuel eco about 15.36 mpg average. Pulled a 6 inch wood chipper (the same ones the towns use to chip limbs at the curb) my sister rented, didn't even feel it. 4.08 gears are A OK and I would recommend them.

Just need that locker and it'll be perfect.

Also burn outs are way easier now

So did your avg mpg go up or down?

I always find it interesting some people report it going up when they regear, whereas mine went down with 4.56 gears.

Those are the people who gun it at the lights and now find they don’t need to do it so much with the larger gear ratio.

Meh we got a dog of an engine in OE configuration, so no need to gun it really. You're still going to be slow, just loudly lol

What really fucked me was the MPH read out. I am reading 4 over what I'm actually doing from 65 to 75, and 5 to 7 over 76 to 90. So I need to be doing 97 on the dial to be doing 90 actual.

RPMs according to the OBD port reader are still accurate +/- 100 from the dash to the digital read out.

Yeah, you'll get used to it though.
My speedo is ~9% off, so when it says 50 I'm going 55, but when it says 80, I'm going almost 90.

I know mine is off with 285/70/17 and 4.88
I found the govner headed back on THE 10 WB and I assumed this stupid car was only doing 70-75, but everyone else was flying around them aswell, trying to scoot by I thought the engine choked or skipped a tooth, I was probably doing 90 or close when it said 80. now I know it’s limits

I think the 00-04 get speedo signal from transmission and I think 05-06 get it from the wheel speed sensors.

That can't be right, that means the TCM would have to be completely different, well at least the trigger single input would have to be
