These fail due to runtime. Also, LED backlight, especially with white/amber/pick your color is super fun. I went through multiple rounds of this to find my preferred solution (white, not as bright as the superbrights which I did in the center / radio bezel, found T10's and T5's which matched OK, wished they were all T10's). That and the D are the ones which I think burn out in the 100-200k range so they are prime candidates for LED.

The others, outside of maybe cruise or hazards (turns) don't seem like they would ever have significant runtime. Other than maybe my airbag light on my truck, but still, not a ton of time even for a year's worth of trouble given how infrequently I drive.

I think sticking with halogen for those T5's is just way easier, swap out a burned bulb if it happens, ignore polarity, no need to f with front facing emitter light blockage.

I'll dig through my bag of LED's to see if I have any T5's without the front emitter, don't remember seeing any to be honest.

There's a 'sovereign nation' out in my desert that's hiring for their Porder Batrol. Bobby is disqualified since I've seen him wear crocs.

Would the cool factor be worth wiring my caps 3rd brake lights into having amber blinkers? Brakelights were cool, but if i leave em on amber, i can have em on anytime the lights are on. through the original switch. And could change em to 'bright', to light up the back of the truck. Separating the harness, i'll be able to run the wires inside the tubes without the giant connectors. Have the amber rings as blinkers & the red caps to have 3rd brakes. Trickier to use the main beams cause i dont know how backfeeding works.

    ??

i'll burn my own coffee before letting someone else brew it. Milk is the hardest part. Like do i wanna save it for coffee or can i use this milk in the mac & cheese or nacho cheese? I dont get elaborate if its just me & polo, but for company you gotta have a whole cooler worth of ingredients.

I buy string cheese for polo. I partake, but he has a rubber pickle toy; and you stuff some bologna bits into the slots, and 1/3 of a log of string cheese is the perfect plug to slow him down. Homeboy learnt how to throw that thing like 20ft. Maybe 8ft high. He'll also throw tennisballs with treats in em. Well kinda throws, shakes and lets go, but i dont think he really controls which direction it goes.

I'm not about seizing nothing. Best i can do is heckle.
If i swapped to a big fuel tank & e85, i'd want a high rpm I4 without balance shafts. A turbo for elevation, but geared for 6krpm shifts.

My friend stopped by to have me scan for codes. She's got some issues. The VW is having erratic idle. 700 to 1500rpm then back down.

What year/model? If I didn't know any better, I'd suspect she's got vacuum issues. After 8-10 years, the vacuum hoses in almost all VWs start to crack. I replaced hoses in my '99½ GTI twice in my years of ownership.

Gross vacuum issue could account for most of those, as could a bad/failing fuel pump.

    Yup, my 1st thought also.

But I don't know anything newer than the MKV. The fact I see a combo of EVAP codes, misfire codes, lean fuel codes, cat codes makes me think fuel pump. But I can see vacuum bullshit tripping all those errors. I've never dealt with P0089 code, had to look that one up. Fuel pressure...

Before I added the camper shell, I had never seen 13 miles to the gallan. After adding the camper shell, performing my recent maintenance and adjusting my tire pressures to run 30 instead of 35, I'm now seeing almost 13.8 on a regular basis
