Yeah that's a lot of money, especially when I've only got to pass 3 more yearly emissions inspections before my truck is exempt.

I almost got a free dog the other day. It just showed up so I fed him some hot dogs. He didn't wanna come inside. He made my day though.

@FirstGenVol me looking at your post like...
    FB_IMG_1718186358507.jpg

You can always tell by the eyes of the snake whether they are venomous or not, as well as the anal vent plate scale. Don't be a pussy, and stare directly at its asshole. Anyways @J-man beat me to it. Common rat snake, mostly harmless to you.

All snake bites run the risk of infection, but that doesn't mean that all snakes are bad.

    I should know
    FB_IMG_1718186340315.jpg FB_IMG_1718186327618.jpg FB_IMG_1718186332517.jpg

I've been catching snakes since I figured out how to take my diapers off. Venomous, non-Venomous, never mattered to me. Snakes were a ton of fun especially when you pissed em off.

That truck was always around, always... end of an era soon...

    Yup, that's what I saw.

So I was laying on the couch, about to fall asleep. When I could see something through the door window hanging from the door wreath. I didn't think anything of it and fell asleep. I woke up and went outside and heard a plop on the ground right after I shut the door and took a few steps. I turned around and it was the rat snake. It was the thing I saw in the wreath lol

I had a rat snake growing up named hotrod, and when he outgrew his tank i took him to the armand bayou nature center & they kept him in a display case indoors for a few years. He was the biggest specimen they'd seen. I used to have to keep dozens of dead baby mice in the freezer to feed it, and would bite me when i helped it shed. Had a huge tarantula named octo that lived in the same terrarium, bit they seemed to get along. It ate frozen crickets. One of the reasons i knew my mom loved me, because she hated everything to do with em.

Kind of blew me away that the 5100s tied or even edged out Fox. And they don't need to be rebuilt! Thinking about replacing the OMEs on my 4Runner with 5100s. That thing is stiff! Glad to have installed 5100s on the 1GT. I was second guessing myself. No more!

Samesies. A part of me was wondering if should have gone with full blown coilovers but looking at this vid. 5100's were definitely the best option for the $$$

I need to ride in something with low preload 5100's. I feel my 6112's are as perfect as i could hope for, for what my truck does. The digressive valving means i float over speedbumps & RR tracks. If i'm in the middle of air guitar, i might float over a body and not even know it. My brain, not knowing, would tell me i hit a chunk of 2x6, i'd accept & move on.

Personal preference, but I couldn't imagine 5100s in the front with my driving style/ terrain. I could not stand how firm the valving was on the rears that I ran for one trip.

I dont hate the rear 5100's, but i've got an extra 500lbs more than the truck has had its whole life. No manly springs yet, but i've got at least 700 miles on the bumpstops.

I'm still lost when it comes to suspension. I got the toytecs with very little research. I'm guessing they're just 5100s/2884s but with a threaded body. And I got the aluma shocks thinking the 5100 rears that came in the kit were weaker than the coilovers. So what are the alumas vs 5100s?

I see now where I was wrong. I've been researching a little each day and I think I know what I wanna get next. I'm not sure on specific brand yet, but I want 2.5" coilovers. I'm leaning towards ADS, but Kings look good too.
