TX used to make you have separate stickers for inspection and registration on your windshield. Now you get the same inspection and take your passing paperwork to tax office to get registration.

I never even heard of Costco til like the 2000's. The 90's was all about Sam's Club

It supposedly started in San Diego under the name Price Club and changed to Costco when they opened a branch in Seattle in 1983.

Turns out they are not. But both sell Kirkland products, which is owned by Costco. That's probably where my confusion spawned.

I use CDK just for RO creation and flagging. CCC one is what I use to write up repair estimates.

I've had one of those in my Taco since '02 or '03. A bit noisy in parking lots (loud clicks/pops) if not very gentle on the throttle. Will also send the rear sideways if you give it too much gas in the rain.

    Good for crawling/mud/etc.

Looks like my Japanese ripoff LCR meter came in today. :)

    IMG_0614.jpg

Now I can accurately measure the inductances of my guitar pickups and transformers if I decide to build and troubleshoot a tube amp.

I can also measure ignition coil inductances for comparison of Densos vs the rest. I may try that out for you folks when I figure out how to read Japanese.

J/K they publish in English as well.

Again, why couldn't your shop just read the license plate and get the same info?
How in the hell could you tell what kind of head he was? You never even saw the piece of shit. You were probably 8 michelob lights deep into a game of Minecraft or Fortnite or whateverthefuckgame you get your jollies from these days... :boink::rofl:
Standard practice here is to apply the sticker to the plate, then drag a razor blade thru it about a dozen times in random directions. Makes it 'unstealable' (NOT like @bmf4069's first bike) or nontransferable. People that don't do this simple task deserve to have their tags stolen.

And AGAIN, they can get any of the same info from running your plate. When you get pulled over and they run your plate, they know the status of your reg.

Also the registration has a barcode they can scan. Made doing state inspections much easier vs manually entering all the info.
Pretty sure cops can scan those to autofil your ticket most the way

See, THAT makes sense. We don't have barcodes on our stickers. Just a year (big) and serial number (small). They can however, run your plate and find out if the sticker belongs on the vehicle or not, from the serial number

Ours has VIN etc... I'll text you a pic.

But here's my question for you Rusticals, if they cops can get all your info from your LP (assuming it's not stolen and put on the wrong car), then why bother with a registration sticker at all, regardless of placement?

They way I see it, it's just a major time saver for state inspectors and other auto shops that have barcode scanning capabilities.

Edit: NVM the VIN is no longer displayed. But it's encoded in the barcode among all the other info.

You’ve got the 2.5. Far better motor. Will burn if neglected. But not cursed with design oversight like the 2.4

I know this isn’t exactly the same direction but same sort of wastefulness; we have a dept/committee for “sustainability” like someone has a full time job making up all kinds of stuff. Recently they printed thousands and thousands of stickers that read “less is more”………. They also have one of our carpenters put up like 40 signs at the different buildings regarding recycling or sustainability, 90% of them are mounted 30’ in the air or higher. These kids aren’t looking up. They also print stupid ammount a of flyers and BS for their stupid events or campaigns.

they could literally hire another IT guy and get rid of the entire committee; these kids don’t care about posters and banners and stickers, make a stupid app! Sustainability at its finest!!!!
Also kids throw away tons of “good stuff” at the end of the year, but employees aren’t allowed to take any of it……. All to the landfill

Mine has the black dash and dark blueish-greyish door cards, but the leather seats are closer to a dark grey than black

I'm making a parts list for my front end rebuild. I'm going with TRAKMOTIVE TO8088XTT CV axles. I'm curious if the outer dust seal is included/ installed with the CV axle?
