I know I feel like I should put this in my signature line just so someone in the future reading something I did isn't like, "well, adding that extra gas tank in AC backseat worked for this guy, although it's strange that was Jason C.'s last post ever on this forum...."

Fuel cells are really quite safe, but damn 120 gallons of fuel in the passenger compartment scares me just a little bit.

I'm not too keen on any risk of self-immolation. Hard pass. I'll just deal with a smaller tank.

I have decided to hit them. If someone does something that requires me to take evasive action - I'm going to hit them. Why take evasive action & cause a different accident which would be my fault?
I practiced it today. Lady made a right on red in front of oncoming traffic (me). She looked left as she was turning to see what all that noise was about & was shocked to see a very large H right outside her window. Lucky for her I was able to stop, but was willing to hit her than someone else.

Anybody does dumb shit like that in front of the 06 and they're free game, because my brakes (despite being properly maintained and tuned) suck with all the extra eight of armor and bigger tires. Plus I've got armor... They'll learn their lesson.

Living up here in the wet side of oregon, i much prefer to have the tires recessed. It helps keep the mud and road film off the whole side of my truck....along with rock chips and whatever else is out there. I will say it starts to look really goofy when some old timer is driving around a stock height, stock tires and wheels on their full sized truck with aftermarket extended fender flairs.

    That makes sense.
According to the google machine you guys get 75-90 inches of rain a year. The Texas panhandle see's 22 inches a year on average, and some years more like 10 inches.

Oregon sounds nice. Moist but nice.

Is there still a 2.5 mph bumper standard or did that silently disappear? Because it sure looks like a $3000 repair fail.
