Try disconnecting them now and see what happens? should be a quick simple test?

haha. Never even thought of that. Will do. Thanks. Hope I don't have to go to the dealer to have them reset an airbag light though now...

An acquaintance is moving to a condo (old guy) and selling his Ford 8N tractor (sorry, no pics), with a 6' brush hog. I could use it to mow my 10ish acres once a month during the summer, otherwise I have no use for it. Fairly new paint job (well done), 12v conversion, no leaks and fires right up. He wants $2500 for the setup with brush mower. Any idea what these old tractors are worth? online info is all over the place. Is his price in the ballpark?

Thanks, regardless of mfg, a/c package heat pump unit is not the way to go anymore vs a/c unit with heat strip. Wow, times sure have changed. Thnx.

That's probably about right. The bad part about those old 8n tractors is everything is driven off the transmission so if you push the clutch everything stops and the residual speed from the mower will keep moving the tractor.

Not a deal breaker but something to be aware of.

Well. I might order my carpet today, they don’t make anything for reg cabs, so hoping cutting an access cab carpet will fit. Going black. Debating on what to do with the head liner, I’m really leaning grey. But the rear trim piece is one solid piece from the bottom to the top, so transitioning that to grey will be difficult. Might just paint the bottom black and right after the bottom of the rear window, go grey

I've actually thought about blacking out mine, just to increase the "more sidewall" look. Easy enough to squirt with Plastidip and see how it looks before committing further.

Center console woes continue, access cab brackets don’t make it fit. Running out of ideas unless I go custom. I do have to drill out the sheet metal for some of the mount bolts... that’s going to be fun...

No. But the bucket mounts are there and the mounts for the basic console. But nothing for the big console. I may have to try a access cab console. Mines from a tundra

This Milwaukee Impact Drill is the best tool investment by far. Makes tire removal/install so easy compared to a lug wrench.

Speaking of parts truck, I’m leaning towards not putting that thing back on the road, so if anyone has a part they need, shoot me a PM and I’m sure we could work something out.

It does not have a new frame, but the frame is in decent shape.

    Interior Color code FB11

It's like a brown, which is a bummer because mine is grey. :(

I could totally use the steering column trim and the shifter (or at least the button for overdrive mines mia)

Why not just sell it? You just stole the good body panels off it right? If the frame is in good shape I would think someone would buy it.

Because there's more and more that I want to steal off it. Pretty tough to sell it as running/driving when there are no mid pipes, body panels, interior trim, axle left.

And it's not worth anything as a chassis. May as well just scrap it at that point.

Edit: and also, it's worth about a grand running and driving. If I salvage all the stuff I want/need, I'm already way ahead of buying it on its own, plus if I share the wealth around here I'll maybe get my money out of it, and people on the forum benefit as well.
