If a welder ever tells you they don't have enough material on the plate because the objects they're cutting out won't fit in that "correct" orientation and that person doesn't just cut the plate set up is a 45° bevel it for a filet weld and then weld that plate to how they need it, you have to ask yourself; is that person even a welder? Because metal is whatever the f*** I want it to be

no.. hell no. fluxcore OR reverse the cables, change out the wirespool and hook up the gas- all for mig. I've never tried running gas on flux. Seems like it'd be a waste of money, no?

Dual shield fucks. Spray transfer with high deposition rates. A little extra for a guy just welding in his garage though.

gotcha. I'm always outside tho, and coastal winds kill the gas shield. Didn't know people run gas and fluxcore together. Anyways, I've got flapdiscs.

Get you a 90 wind break weld curtain. How do you think we TiG outside. Gotta stop the wind. Anything past like 15mph you're best off sticking it or flux coring for those who can't handle the rod baby.

This is pertinent. Got about 18-22 months to find a car for the oldest and hope to find something similar but reliable I can dump money into on simple fixes like CV axles, sensors, suspension, wheels.

    I'd love another truck. I don't want another 4WD.

That truck looks like it was a dealer showqueen, i.e. they threw everything into it. Supercharger, into 4WD, loaded, wood grain, leather, gold emblems, etc. That's a hell of a buy for someone if rust free.

It’s getting hard for me to justify buying another first gen for those prices with multiple parts going obsolete.

I may need to think about a 2nd gen. :crapstorm:
