Oh I meant it as a compliment. There aren't many kids left like that. It's nice seeing kids that can entertain themselves without being on a screen. Some of my best memories as a kid involve being outdoors.

Yeah they’re outdoor boys for sure.
For a while we tried to use reverse psychology on them and told them someone would take them out back on if the dogs weren’t out there……
Now they’re like we will take the dog, he will protect us!!!!
But they always want me to be out there with them…… rough life for sure!!!!
That battery filler thing you said you didn’t like, hahah that is their grenade that they fill with sand and throw across the yard.

Maybe think about buying a second pair of boots so that you can switch them out during lunch time. A different boot will have different pressure points.

The first marathon i ran there was a guy out there with no legs...he was on a skateboard paddling with his hands. I passed him on the uphill and he passed me back on the downhill. That was about 20 years ago. All i remember was he had big orange Krytos and Schmitt stix . I was SUPER stoked on the guy!

I wear boots for 48hrs when working. I wear Darn Toughs and warranty them through North 40 Outfitters if you have one. Otherwise you can do their online warranty. Off work I wear smart wool and so the same through their online portal every year or two when I need new ones. Been doing that for about 6 years now. They are true to their warranty

I did a local 37 mile bike ride yesterday morning on my 20” BMX. There were LOTS and LOTS of hills, so it meant that i was having to stand close to 40% of the time. BMX isn’t fast when you’re pedaling that’s far, so it gave me plenty of time to take in the sights. During one 5 miles section of the ride, i must have counted over 30 1st gen tundras just parked on side streets! Like it was crazy, in just one city block, i would see one on both sides of the street, then look down a side street and see a couple more! Most all of them were AC’s. I saw two SC’s and zero DC’s. I don’t think i even saw any 2nd gen tundras either. Lots of early model Tacoma trucks as well. So yeah, North Portland (oregon) is where all tundras go to live.

I vary my boots day to day but don’t usually switch mid day, I could try that when convenient.

I have a few pair of Smartwool, some of the better socks I’ve got- didn’t actually know they had that warranty too, certainly no receipt at this point but good to know going forward.

Darn Tough sounds like a winner, I’ll wait until I can check some out in store to compare instead of ordering online.

I was a fan of Thorogood boots for years. But that gravy train has run dry.
These days I'm back to rocking cheap boots like in my punk days haha.
Just gotta be black, have a side zipper, and a steel toe.

Still no reply to my email, sent Thursday, inquiring about my parts from Serra Toyota.
It has now officially been a month since I placed the order, and a week since their ETA for my parts to arrive to them. At which point they said they would ship them all together to me.

Thorlo mens hiking socks. Even for use in work boots. They fit me well, and the padded feel holds up all day, even though they're not ridiculously padded, to the point that you have to change boot size. I've tried every other brand I've heard about, but these are the most comfortable all day, for me. Also, compared to others, they're not as expensive for excellent quality.

That said, other brands like Darn Tough... I think may be great if they fit you well-- not as comfortable for me because they don't fit as well. You're a guy, so they may fit you better, and be comfortable.

That could explain the premium pricing found on trucks being sold there!

Dude, pick a phone and call them. This is unacceptable. If they can't get you what you need, cancel the order with them over the phone and demand a refund.

That's ridiculous. I placed my order Thursday, first day of the sale. Received my shit on Tuesday. Ordered the door sills same Tuesday and received them last week. No excuse on it not arriving.

If I email any vendor and they don't respond within 48-72 hours (depending if weekend was involved), I'm picking up a phone. Some things you cannot handle by digital comms, and there's too many potential failures with e-comms (and too many excuses available) not to use a phone in that case. ESPECIALLY if they've already taken your money.

Was in Puerto Plata DR last week. Saw a few FGTs most were work trucks with racks on the back. Only saw two 2.5 Tundras and they were white and bone stock.

Honestly, it seems like their order was lost in the black hole and no one is responding because of the mess up. My guess only but yeah, like everyone else said make the call and see what's up.

No kidding. Make them explain it. I'm assuming some of the parts are backordered. Hopefully not discontinued.
