    Caliper seal leak?

Had a master not work once on a an FJ but apparently was an internal seal and just one circuit failed (still had brakes on other circuit). Didn't blow the rear seal and leak toward the master.

Summit Racing is where I got mine in chrome, but they also had in black. Sherman and CCI (coast to coast int'l) make quality parts that should last. I paid $200 for one on my AC in chrome. I think the flat black/primer version was $165, and shipping was free + $9.99 for oversized item.

I think Summit called it a "bumper skin" for the rear bumper.

Looks like I'm probably selling the Tundra to my daughters best friend. She's a good kid so I'll give her a screaming deal.

Just emailed the local Nissan dealer to see if they'll match lease offers with other dealers. Colorado dealer is offering $99/month $0 down on a 2 year lease for a Leaf.

$99 a month on a 2 year lease is a pretty great deal!

We had similar here in several years back, remember? Then the powers that be at the state capitol couldn't handle seeing the electric car industry explode like it did, and decided they needed to kabosh the electric vehicle incentivess, slap a yearly couple-hundo yearly fee onto them to offset the revenue loss, and that's why we rarely ever see Nissan Leafs anymore, within the span of about 12 months. They essentially helped tank the electric car industry in the state. That whole thing was wild.

That was my thought as well. Hell that's less than 2 weeks worth of gas if I drove the truck to work.

It's still ongoing, too. My aunt leased an electric vehicle and was slapped with a $275 fee for the to recoup on that lost fuel revenue.

Yeah the political taxation is a bummer.

Last week, here in SoCal, started hearing ads again to lease 2 KIA vehicles for $222 per month (or $111 per month to lease one). I think they're *gas though.

It's just amazing at how expensive financing a vehicle is nowadays without a substantial down payment. The Gen3 Tundras on our lot go for nothing under $900 per month. Hell, a brand new Camry is $30,000 now.

When I was a kid, $30k got you a ton of new car/truck. Now you're lucky to get anything new for that. My parents had a C230 Kompressor and an Eddy Bauer Expedition when I was in high school and iirc each was $35k back then. Which was also like a years salary for my mom, being a school nurse.

Dang @bmf4069 I guess my brake failure rubbed off on you? Sorry to hear that happened and I'm glad you're okay.

I'm finally home from T2P after being on (mostly off) the road for three weeks. Truck needs a whole lot of TLC in addition to throwing the new diffs in.

I did look underneath to check the shock mount when we got back to town and noticed a bunch of wet splatter on the diff and axle. I was guessing it was front diff juice from my leaky CVs, but now I'm thinking it's brake juice.

I don't think it's necessarily, not in all states at least, as insidious as that. (Georgia, for example, offers a relatively large amount of alternative fuels incentives--sort by EVs--also, omg shifterson, this could be you.) I think we'll keep seeing what shifty and others mention in states until the states can figure out a different way to tax us to pay for roads--highways in most places are financed via a gasoline/diesel excise tax, so if you don't buy gasoline or diesel because you use an alternative fuel but still use the roads, then you are getting a tax exemption/aren't paying your fair share for roads. If you get a tax exemption others don't get, albeit indirectly, then that's a form of subsidy. States all have an infinite number of reasons for wanting to/not wanting to subsidize alternative fuel vehicles (a particular state might have, e.g., strong oil/gas industry, strong solar/wind industry, strong auto industry, population growth/lots of highway projects needing funding, etc., etc.). States have twisted themselves into knots trying to recover that lost road-funding revenue--most seem to have settled on a one-time registration fee. See here.

I have his OG design from JBA. Same design actually. Only difference according to him is the manufacturer. Now instead of a big corporation, it's done by a small SoCal shop.

I was cruising around in the street queen yesterday, causing general disarray. I ended up at the local farm market, Froberg's. I figured as long as I was there, I might as well look for healthy snacks. I left with dried okra, dried veggies chips, dried bananas, chili mangos, a double chocolate cookie and 2 fried pies.... Fucking bakery just had to ruin my health food run haha. They also have a smokehouse. I'll have to check it out next time.

That's confusing and I hate it. We know "lift" to mean something else. Sound like you're saying never lift your truck. Maybe if 2wd... but don't say that out loud! :D
"Hammer down" is the correct term.
