I assume that was to shim the hole so the nail would fit tight, as it’s a recycled board which already had been nailed? Given the wire used to tie rebar is abundant, slightly easier than starting a new hole? Just a guess.

Oh that’s a good guess. I thought they had to drill for that.

When i wire my truck for a 7-pin connector, how big of a wire should i run to the aux 12v? And what size fuse? Relay? What are trailers designed to pull? The prewired sockets look like 16-18ga, but would 12-14ga & a heavy duty fuse hurt anything? What about a big honking wire from the trucks battery to a 'house' battery
In the back (through an isolator)? I mean, if i tapped off that, it should be fine, as long as a trailer has a fuse, right?

There is a thread, I’ll find it. Guy did his homework. Fuses are fine by me but I think ideal is a breaker since trailer wiring is variable.

    This is the way.

We'll do that with tapcons if we blow out the hole. You can either cut a plastic anchor in thirds, or take a piece of bare #12 and shive it in there.

I suppose you're going to say my glass fuses are so 1912? Geez.

you know, I never thought to look if any of them might be original. Wouldn't that be something!

The 7 pin kit I bought from etrailer is plug n play. It looked to me like you already have the plugs when were under your truck

    Link?

I haven’t seen a kit which does the power and brake controller stuff. Just 4 flat plus reverse into 7 adapters which isn’t super helpful.

    Weight reduction, mostly rust.
That is just a form/board to screed off (pouring a floor), it has to be pulled. That wire cuts the friction as opposed to concrete nailing it or tapcon screwing, and makes it easy to pull.

Went to Chick Fill-A yesterday and this young man pulled up next to me with a very cherry 2006 DC 4WD. Told me it was his grandfather’s. He said he had it stupid lifted and learned the hard way about LBJ and non-OEM parts failure so he returned it to stock with maybe 1 inch lift. He was not aware of our site so I told him to sign up and read Shifty’s mega thread.

Ok, got my 02 sensors ordered. Now it’s time for nuts and the tool. Autozone 22mm / 7/8’s tool is good? Or is there a fancy overpriced one I can waste money on?

then I just need to look up the part number for the nuts.

I'm not seeing any nuts for your truck except the ones holding the sensors on, and the gaskets.

These Monterro's parked next to me today at Windrock. Pretty sweet. Sliders, ARB bumpers, snorkel, Bigfoot logo.

Anyone know what year it is?

It was so cold though. Misjudged the weather this morning and got soaked going through this creek. Really need to invest in some waterproof riding boots.

I own a stiletto Ti hammer. Here’s the story how i got it...
My good friend knows i have a bad wrist. He sent me to his rental house that is located about 4 hours away. So i simply brought a sleeping bad with me and slept in the floor for 1.5 weeks. After i was working there for about five days, a package arrived in the mailbox with my name on it. I figured it was a fiberglass repair kit that my buddy ordered (so that i could fix the bathtub). I tore open the box and saw some fancy pants hammer. It took me about 5 seconds to process what was going on, then i exclaimed outloud, “ohhhhhh!” I was super stoked since it was the exact hammer that i wanted to buy for myself. My buddy is super cool!

Look how they massacred my boy! As someone said in the Reddit thread, if someone offered me both, I'd choose the new one and sell it to buy several of the old ones. LOL
