I have amber LEDs in the dash and turn them down for night driving, really easy on the eyes.

Godspeed, brother. Not sure if you’re a beer guy, but ICE cold flavorless sparkling waters kind of do the trick for my wife and I when we don’t drink but are doing things where normally we would. Working in the yard, at the farm, etc. Light beers are basically slightly alcoholic sparkling water anyway so that crisp cut of the bubbles is kind of enough.

    Weight reduction, mostly rust.
I'll tell you about my LEDs dimming capabilities. They don't transition as smooth/evenly through the dimmer sweep as incandescent.
Mine get pretty dim and then turn off, and at the high end similarly take a big jump to full power.
Maybe Ive gotten used to how bright they are, but they seem to have lost a bit of the original brightness.
Still glad I made the switch though.

But for real, someone on here needed to read this. Thank you for sharing it, that's a pretty vulnerable, personal thing to put out there in the world.

And be careful. We've (I believe) already watched one member fall to temptation on here and go off the ranch.

If you've lost weight cutting out the booze wait until you cut out the soda too.

Like @JasonC. said sparkling water is a good intermediate.

I was thinking the same thing. The fact that @The Black Mamba has recognized these things and is working on it is better than most. I have some friends that concern me with their drinking and I haven't found out how to bring it up with them. It's a hard conversation.

Today I filled up from the first actual full tank with the cap on. Went from 11.9 mpg to 13.5 mpg!

If my calculations are correct, this cap will pay for itself in 66 fill ups

I’m hoping to see at least 12 on the next fill up after gears, but 4hours and 30ish miles in 4l, so it should only get better!

I’d be doing the permanent appproach of a steel pole buried in a cement covered hole. Much cheaper unless you need to move it out of the way.

30 miles in 4Low? That sounds interesting. I did 20 hard miles on the bike today and I'm exhausted.

My xr250 had an awesome crawl gear. But i was light. But houston was trying not to slip into the mud, instead of hills.

i got it back. A solid 98% of the parts, but it still needs a rebuilt. I was racing bigger bikes at a track, and broke the rings. Then wiesco sent me the wrong sized rings, so i took it to the dunes and just kept adding oil. I need to see what its gonna take to mount a 650 cylinder, and pistons. With the 250 stroke makes a 457cc that should rev.
    IMG_6061.jpg
when the exhaust ports and headers was running dunes full of oil the flame melted my muffler cap off. Not the bolts, the whole steel cap.

That night run we did last Saturday; but once we hit a smooth dirt road I had to shift out of low, it didn’t want to shift into a higher gear and 4.5krpms was getting loud

First, I have an alley behind the house and my carport takes up all of my driveway. Looks a lot like that pic @Mr.bee took at (I think) his BIL’s house. Second, this thing was $100 on sale at Academy. If we like it enough, maybe I’ll find a permanent solution. This is at least a start.

Those fences all look unusually tall (6ft limit on fences here in ATL, until you reach parallel to the front door, then it must be 4ft).

It always kills me when people build their fences ugly side out. You're basically inviting someone to climb over and kick in your back door. Much harder to do when it's flat-side out.
