sun starts melting it, sun goes down & it all refreezes. Same again tomorrow. You end up with a big sheet of ice you can't chop because it's thick & hard & endless. If you put ice melt on it, it will end up in the pond in husky paws.
You've got to shovel the snow & let the sun do the final clean up.

Unless you're not dipping into freezing temps at night, then leave it & the sun will do it's work.

 

This reminds me, I'm glad all my faculties still work like they did when I was a teenager.

 

Sadly she's too old to get excited anymore but she enjoys her walks.

The low last night was 0. Tonight it's 3. Supposed to be above freezing tomorrow with a chance of freezing rain.

 

Time to buy a snowblower @FirstGenVol. The snow is a prelude of what’s to come in the future.

 

I'm so glad all those carbon credits stopped global warming.

 

I'm sad I need to repeat this, but ... Climate ≠ Weather

 

I leave the snow if freezing rain will soon follow. Easier to shovel candy coated snow (ice on top of snow) than to chop ice off black top.

I had one of these, but it was awkward to move, a pain to clean out, and the accessories were kinda useless. Washing machine & dryer drums are where its at. Check out rocket stoves if you wanna build something neat.
