Yup, I actually need to call Toyota Parts Overstock or whatever. They said they ordered two, got one in, and Toyota told them remans are being discontinued.

They refunded one and said they would ship the one. But that one still hasn't shown up, weeks later.

EDIT: Oh man, 10 minutes on hold, that's never good.

I'll be happy to die on the hill that my NAPA CVs finally break on.
5 years strong and they have held up to my idiotic antics off road.

Well, 16 minutes on hold for them to figure out what happened. Got off the phone and 5 mins later I got a shipping notice, so I guess those guys had my one OEM CV sitting in the back or something.

So that's on its way now, basically $105 shipped after they refunded me.

Found another at Elmhurst Toyota, listed on the fleamarket site for $199 shipped and ordered that today, so I at least had a spare OEM pair, since they're apparently discontinuing.

So I'm out $300, roughly $150/ea, which is $20 less than I'd have paid locally. As long as they all make it here intact, I guess I'll chalk it up to shit timing, should've ordered last year, but at least I got my foot in the door before they went extinct.

I kinda hope Toyota releases more product or something. I'll feel like a dumbass for spending the extra $$ on the 2nd axle, but at least our trucks will be rolling longer...

Someone on here was saying to get quality CVJ ones you have to buy their high end line, everything else was garbage. And the high end line is $$$$$$$.

So I used that Bass Pro gift card to order those sweet chairs and some ammo. The chairs came but this is what the ammo box had inside...

Seems like they have a theft issue in their DC. Whoever packed it also added packing paper but nothing else.

At least you'll have recourse, assuming the shipping company weighed the package. Or, I guess, you'll learn it was stolen along the route and the box resealed....

I wouldn't have opened it and went straight to whatever carrier sent it if the weight wasn't zero. If it WAS zero, you can argue that with Bass Pro I'd assume. I'm curious what they're going to do now.

Whenever I purchase expensive items, I record with a GoPro of what's inside when I open it to make sure something isn't sent damaged by a vendor.

That's ^^ what I was going to say. Sometimes they'll even give you weights as it hits the various stops.

They'll typically weight it when they print the sticker. Then when it arrives at the shipper, they'll weigh to confirm the shipper's weight is accurate. Sometimes it gets weighed before going out. You should be able to figure out when it disappeared based on that info.

These things are a fucking nightmare. 20 year old cat5 in a hot, humid environment. Then just for funsies it was all heat shrinked to banana ports then sprayed with liquid electrical tape.

It's all hard as a rock and I've broken 2 wires so far. Crimping is the only option because the wires are corroded back at least 5 inches.

It's for a pool timing system. I'm just the chump who has to keep it running, replacing it is out of my pay grade.

Chlorine. The deck plates are at least siliconed down to the deck.

The wiring is that old, the connectors were all replaced around 2010 from the originals. Now it's just time for a whole new setup.

I also ordered foam ear plugs so I thought that's what this box was(it's still in transit). Only after I opened it did I notice the black hazmat sticker they put on ammo shipments.

I called Bass Pro. They were nice about it and agreed to ship more ammo out. He didn't even seem concerned about it.

Yeah it took a couple of months to figure out what happened when we had a refurbished iPhone box show up empty at our house. Called them immediately, wish I'd have been recording opening the box--will definitely do that from now on when ordering important things online. Fortunately they credited it back to me, but it took several phone calls because they'd keep saying "we can't see that we've received the item back from you." "No shit, that's because I never got the item either, someone in your logistics chain stole from you."

Hey guys, I would like to get some opinions here before I pull a door panel off.

My mom’s 07’ FJ Cruiser is having a small electrical issue. The window switch on the passenger side works going down but not up. I’m able to make it go up and down with the driver switch no problem so it’s not the window motor.

Im thinking of checking for a loose wire to the switch, then just replacing the switch itself.

    Any thoughts?
