Yeah my little bro had the original Star Wars lunchbox as a kid. I had the Pittsburg Steelers. My little sis got the first plastic Jabberjaw lunchbox that I can remember. I was happy enough to brown bag it when I got to junior high aka middle school.

Damn... Disney released their first star war movie almost a decade ago. Where does the time go?

Who else saw the ORIGINAL (1977) in a theater the year it came out?

    Not I.
I wasn't born yet. But I saw the original on a VHS recorded from the TV with commercials :D

I also saw the whole "Special Edition" OG trilogy in theatres.

I was there. First time I saw a movie with family in a theater vs a drive in.

Remember having to sneak in and see an R-rated film?

Damn. My older bro corrected me. We supposedly saw “Snoopy Come Home” a year or two after it came out in the local $1 theater.

Must’ve been too young to remember.

the last movie i saw in theaters was episode 1. I used to go with grandpa, but he gave up after having to sit through that. We rented movies for a while, then bought movies from the 20's & 30's for a while, but now he falls asleep on the couch pretending to watch the news, and if i wanna chill with him i have to have it on a sci channel or animal planet before 5pm.

I know on the 5100's you reuse the OEMs. Not sure if they will fit the 6112's or not.

Aha!! Here they are. But apparently must be late 80s/early 90s or something, after Craftsman was outsourcing to Taiwan, but before production shifted to mainland China.

Damn I'm tired. This turned out pretty good though. I didn't end up notching any shelves because I remembered the dog leashes go in that corner.

I remember $1.50 theaters. That was about the only way that we ever went to the movies.
My mom and dad, who are very well off, did me a disservice by convincing me that we were poor. I grew up assuming everyone lived in a 4000 square-foot house, had season tickets to Disney World, the Charlotte Hornets and the Charlotte Knights. It wasn’t until I got out onto my own that I realized their method in raising me didn’t do me any good.

    Nice work dude.

I see that back wall is definitely out left-to-right as you get down toward the floor. The install looks awesome, though.

I need to send you the spare trim nailer I have. That or a narrow crown stapler works great for locking the shelf boards down and is cleaner looking than using wood/drywall screws.

Yes the walls were definitely not perfect. I was wishing my had an impact driver along with my drill that way I wouldn't have to switch back and forth. I may have to use my HD gift card for this.

This was a project where I used what I had lying around. The only thing I bought was the plywood.

I'm just happy to see the guy who hollers at people for being packrats had wood enough to build this squirreled away himself. ;)

Eeewwww. It's all good, you can be an honorary GenX'er along with the best of us. I'm old enough to don that title for my generation, and I doubt any other X'ers would disapprove. (GenX is '65-'78 or '80 IIRC, right?)
