Tekton Design SEAS Pendragon original $2,000 pair. Matching Pendragon center channel original $850.

I offered $750, he countered $850. There in the back seat of truck . Used value normally is $1,200-1,500 range. I will enjoy them for a bit and when the market recovers, I'll sell.

I was in the stix today.

I too enjoy the audio.. my setup is Klipsch forte iiis for music and rf7ii and rc64ii for movies... and Polk lsi 9s for the computer... the surrounds are jbl arenas for the theater. They works well enough for surround duty

Sounds like some unnecessary waste of $$$ if you ask me.

To bad the listing vanished, I would have purchased :spending:

I love specialty speakers brands. The 1 man sound engineer. Tekton Design and Anthony Gallo are my favorite. Many brands are brought and sold to corporations and they regurgitate the same thing wrapped in a different blanket. And the usual corporate bull, cost cutting. Tekton is hand built in the good ole USA.

I love my rf7s built in the states. Same with the fortes. Best part? For both sets, less than 900 bucks

The Klipsch horn has always been good, you have to tinker with position to minimize the hiss. A majority of the time I don't notice the hiss so it doesn't bother me as much as some. The Anthony Gallo tweeters have a similar wide open sound but it is not under pressure like the horn so it's cleaner at high volume.

My buddy is an old school audio engineer and always referred to JBL's as Junk But Loud
I always called them the Ford of sound. They litter the market with cheap junk and then they build a Mustang GT500 and then it's like "oh so you do know what your doing". You have to spend some cash to really appreciate JBL. Yamaha does the same thing also.

This is what I'm talking about and the really shitty thing is Samsung purchased Harmon a couple years ago. I hate to see what is going to happen to some of these brands.

I didn't have a say in the matter. My uncle started teaching me when I was young. I did learn how to pay for it and actually turn a buck by buying & selling used. I've had equipment that is equal to a years pay, enjoyed for a bit and sold for profit.

So which brand do you prefer? And which is complete garbage? Don't say polk; I just bought some. :anonymous:

Edit: actually, that's a hard question without saying how much $$$. So what's good for say low budget (me), mid range, and price is no concern.

Been pondering my new trans cooler, and drain fill.

Was thinking about this last night at work, but with my transmission replacement 12-ish years ago with jasper. Not sure if the FSM will help.

I haven't been able to find specific info on the japser part number in engine bay, or if it is literally a direct "oem-like" transmission. Hmm.

    Hmmmm.

    What yalls thoughts?

AB40322A-FEB7-4047-B15F-EF8B0AEB0AFA.jpg @empty_lord i remember you saying the way to fix tire rub in reverse at full lock was to increase caster correct? I’ll look for my alignment sheet from when I just had it in. I dropped a perch on the bilstiens, but never had rub before they re aligned it. Should I try to get my caster up above 4 right? And I have the Spc UCA

right at the sway bar mount, you can see it rubbing the frame

No matter the budget I always go to Anthony Gallo or Tekton Design. If you are good with your hands and want something special and unique, Linkwitz open baffle speaker design is nice.

Some interesting reading, you can learn a lot about stereo systems and imaging.

I still haven't made it home. I decided to stop in St Lucie and stay the weekend with my mother and grandparents. He is happy I'm here so homemade Puerto Rican food is happening, pasteles are on the stove.

Sooo defeated. I've been working on getting my tundra running properly for what feels like forever. Finally was able to afford all new oem upper and lower ball joints and tie rod arms. Did all the work little by little each Sunday as I live in an apartment and that's the only day staff isn't around. Then had to replace the battery because it was out of gas for some reason and I assumed someone syphoned it no big deal, helped me from clogging my filter and pump with shit gas anyways. Poured in 5 new gallons of gas she started right back up, I drove her in a small circle in the complex... All the work finally coming to a head, I fixed it all. I got out of the truck to smell and see all the gallons of gas just dumping out of my gas tank as I held in my tears because big girls don't cry. SOMEONE DRILLED A HOLE THRU MY GAS TANK!! And stole my liscense plates which I really loved I hope they don't make me change them. So am I just special or is OEM the only way to get a new tank? Suggestions... 850$ is like death to my happiness. I found one used for 350 on eBay is that reliable in your opinions?20200711_191307.jpg 20200711_180022.jpg 20200711_180045.jpg
