Mine just has the tiny chrome strip flares. But yea, some have no flares. See.

On the DCs, I'm pretty sure it's one of those special things through Toyota's Gulf State Distributors. Only one I've seen IRL had a license plate sequence that suggested it was originally from out of state. I'd love to have those fenders instead.

@1lowlife had 'em on his DC FGT I believe.

    Are you wanting a DC?

Like this color, but the wheels gotta go. "In good shape" brake fluid needs a complete flush IMO.

Agree about the wheels  Not really looking for a DC, but I'm not apposed to it if the truck is decent, and the price is right.
Wife threw me a curve ball yesterday and said "if you want a better truck, I'll take yours and we can sell everything else..." :eek2:

    Heck yeah.

I think the price could come down a couple grand especially since 2WD, but that's assuming there's nothing to hide with the frame. There's still a ton of maintenance and upkeep I'd be expecting to do though, unless the seller is leaving a lot out.

My reservoir looks similar, but I've flushed an entire big can of fluid, maybe more through it.
When I was doing my "service" today I checked it, and it's pretty clear inside.
Nothing like it looks from the outside, so the res must be stained.

Mine looks dark outside of broad daylight like any other car I’ve owned. ‘Til you get it in the sunlight then it’s more translucent light green. I’ve had a couple people here rib me about it, since most of my engine shots are in the garage. Reality is I could fully flush and bleed tomorrow and within a month it’ll be back to olive oil yellow, then to light green again within a hundred miles of city driving.

You think these are a great improvement over stock? My Corvette lights are not great. It's got that same size light. I don't drive it a whole lot at night but every time I do I can hardly see anything.

WAY better than the Sylvania sealed beams

Not as bright as the h4 conversion running a harness and the 100w bulbs in my 95 taco

At that price point ($120 each) I guess they better have a lot better output.

    yup. thats them.

120 a pop is cheap for actual DOT approved lights.. the truck-lites, JW speakers and the retrobrites are way more $$

I'm getting ripped off on an alignment at the Stealership today on the RAV4. Just out of curiosity I had them quote new lower control arms, ball joints and outer tie rods.

Anyone want to guess how much they want?

Part of the recent Panderverse episode of south park addressed the general unhandiness of people these days. Had the plumbers and mechanics driving around in limos turning away work for ridiculous sums of money because they had too much work already. It’s time for folks to go back to fixing their stuff themselves to right the universe.

    Holy shit dude!
Not long ago I sat and spitballed what I would have paid in just labor for everything I've done on my Tundra, I estimated 4-5k.
That's fuck it, going to the crusher money for anyone not handy. Maybe that's why I'm attached to this jalopy?

They are charging me $145 just for an alignment. They told me $125 over the phone but they have "shop fees" and taxes. Bullshit. I have to find a cheaper place next time. A lot of shops say they can do an alignment but they don't have an actual alignment machine. Are they just eyeballing it?

Probably have the simple wheel attachments to do it with a laser. I do my own with string at home in a pinch. Local place is about $80 plus taxes for a legit one.
