Man, you really know how to rustle my jimmies eh?

I'd love to trip the person who packed that at the top of a 3 story staircase.

The "1" and the "I" used to look extremely similar on Texas plates. I always wanted a combination of them. O's and Q's is as good as it gets these days.

Decided to up my coffee game and grabbed a moccamaster. Have a grinder on the way, and some freshly roasted beans. Going full nerd on it.

That's my old truck. I sold it to my dad. It's currently on a flat deck being hauled to his mechanic due to the radiator cracking.

Temp swings from -40 to +100 degrees throught the year. Yeah, radiators come in handy.

    @bmf4069

we had a Halloween party and people left beverages, I got to the bottom of the pile recently, it was a Mic Ultra……….
It’s not terrible……….. but its also not that great either?
It’s definitely the closest to water I’ve tasted; so I guess they would be great after a hot day in the sun or something, but I’ll stick to my silver bullets

You fixed it all up for him beforehand too, right? Hard to believe there was much it would have needed.

You've never driven Canadian mountain highways in early winter or spring have you? Slush, water, sand, dirt, snow...

Yep, it was in solid shape when I gave it to him. There were some things we knew it would need in the near future, but nothing too big. This is the first actual failure though.

We use a Chemex but I'm intrigued by some of the fancier options.

    Chemex? She got a sister?
We use a bodin press, but I’ve seen yeti maybe? Release a insulated 32oz press that I’m tempted to make my daily so we don’t have to worry about glass breakage. I have a hand grinder……. That I upgraded the lower bearing for French press grounds, my youngest broke that because he loves to “help” but just replaced the lower glass container. He still gets mad when I tell him he can’t play with the coffee grinder.

It's coffee. Can't say it's as good as some of the french press I've had. But we had killer fresh roasted beans when we were pressing from a friend that had a roaster from previously owning a coffee shop. They would go to the pier in SF and bid on beans fresh off the boat, then roast them 30# at a time in their fancy copper Italian roaster. Looked like candy in the bag. We would press the coffee with 190 degree water. A layer of fatty cream from the beans would settle at the top. Sooooo good. French press was easy. 11-13 second grind of fresh beans, 190 degree water. 4-5 mins steep. press and pour.

French press is definitely the best way to extract the most flavor, aromatics and oils during the 'brew' or press

Definitely my go to when I have the time and want to enjoy and experience the coffee to its fullest!!!!!

    190 degree water…… that’s definitely fancy!!!
We have a couple, well quite a few local roasters………. Man o man they stink up the hood!!!!! Smells like scented shit!!! Most people don’t know that’s the smell of roasting coffee beans!!!!!

lately I’ve been trying to bloom the grounds more before I pour in the rest of the hot water, it seems to help with flavor
