Nah, it's all relatively new. No codes and I'm in a high desert, not a lot of rain.

I'm at 185k miles now and around 177k was when I started tearing into my truck. Replaced the throttle body, coils, spark plugs, pcv on ds, multiple hoses, evap canister, vsc valve/switch thing, injectors, and o2 sensors.

Definitely leaning towards that one o2 sensor now.

IDK… I like the old Chevy step side pickups pre-2000s. Tundra? Nope.

It’s the taillights that really kill it. Chevy and Ford stepsides through the 90’s were awesome. The 1999 + were also horrible like the Tundra. Well, I mean a few notches less horrible. But still horrible. And it’s the dang tail lights.

If the tail lights were somehow the same as a regular bed... I think Ide dislike it half as much.
EDIT: I had not read your comment when I wrote this KNABORES, so it sounds like the consensus is the fugly tail lights?

Just before my first retirement, I thought I wanted to go into autobody work. Talked to a bunch of shops around town, they all said "don't do it, you spend more time on government reg's than painting cars". Between paint regulations, exhaust regulations, local venting rules & fees... No wonder it's dying.

Must be what happened to our Edge we just got back from the body shop (storm damage), check out this fine work.
I said to the body shop owner "What the hell is this Randy? This is bullshit, this should have Never made it to paint"
Oh and a host of other trim/seals poorly reinstalled, but the icing on the shit cake was the grinder sander gouge in my FUCKING dash.
Many years ago this shop was Top-Notch, not any more.

Nothing screams Douche Bag louder than a huge cluster of air fresheners hanging from the rearview mirror. I wonder what it costs to replace those tires every 5k miles?

I knew you were gonna bring it up, I almost typed out something just so you wouldn't even mention it.
There's no way I could be convinced to do anything to this car regarding paint. The most I did was replace the hood because it was rough (someone at pull-a-part did a lot of damage to it with a knife) but that's when I was driving it more too.
