And that was a parked jeep with some unfortunate soul in it. Luckily she lived.

I bet I could do the straightaways in my Tundra. No different than driving through some of the one way streets of South Boston with cars parked on both sides and 2-3" of clearance.

I don't think I could do the turns though from the look of it without video or a mirrored view of all 4 tires.

Last year 3 people died in a Jeep and the driver was a paid guide. That was Imogene Pass.

I suppose if you're careful enough you'll be fine. Post some pictures!

I'd only do it if I felt fully comfortable, which would require getting lots of other experience and advice. This trip would be in 9 months or so anyway.

Think it depends when you go and if it has been worked on any? Good friend went a couple of years ago in his jeep unlimited and said it was gravy. The fact that you are concerned, tells me you'll be fine. Get out there and live and explore!

I get my passes there confused, but I think black bear is the one that if you go straight through a certain section you can roll. Kind of have to go at an angle either towards or away from the mountain.

Yup, I think you’re right. There’s a section on the trail called “The Stairs”, and many rollovers have occurred there because the rock steps are at an angle to your direction of travel and sloped towards the edge.

Apparently people get scared and try their best to stay away from the edge, which puts them in a sketchy spot. If you stick towards the edge your body roll angle is significantly decreased.

There’s a YouTube video of a guy doing it in full size RAM so anything is possible.

    Advisable…that’s a different story.

I was hoping to catch one of mine when it spontaneously ignites. Does that count?

The prize would be meaningless though.

Whats a 20' lowboy worth? Its a little haggard, but the bearing and tires are moderately fresh & the boards arent rotten. Grandma has a friend that wants to trade me for an enclosed trailer (waiting on details), but a car hauler is worth more to me. I'd let em borrow it, but i'm gonna want collateral in case they wreck it.

    maybe $1500?

Both mine were clearly marked L on the box. Hell, I don’t know. Website showed two different part numbers.

Dorman xl from rock auto. After some digging in 80% sure that import chassis direct premium from oreillys is the same part. I’ll post a side by side when I get the part from oreillys

I purchased LowerBJ from Rock, with zerks. Pictures Clearly showed zerks on both units. One part arrived w/o a zerk.
They told me the manufacturer considered them "the same part" because they have "the same service life". I told them that was false advertising, they told me to pound sand.

Back when I lived in Texas, a lot of Delphi parts were made in Maquiladores just over the Mexican border. I did some work at one that made wiring harnesses in Nuevo Laredo and I gotta say I was impressed with the factory and the workers.

I've pulled this trailer a dozen times with this truck & woulda been lying if i'd said the tailgate could come down without hitting the jack. This thing just went up in value.
