Not to mention Palmer is practically on the California boarder, VS Sedona that was like east central AZ. They effectively just alienated their entire eastern patrons. Fuckers

Now I can't even find Palmer, AZ on a map. I know I saw it before

We are the minority. Very few of us traveled from East of Arizona. It's cool they are trying new locations but I'd rather visit Utah than Palmer. Hopefully we can make something happen.

Looks like 19 hours to Moab for you.

Yeah, but according to the T2S website the entire reason first picked Sedona was because it's a great destination and it's not too far West that it would discourage eastern travelers to join in. Or something to that effect anyways. Fuckers.

Yeah it's about the same distance for me whether we do Flagstaff or Sedona or Moab.
Moab is on the bucket list of course.

I want to go back to Moab/ Southeast Utah next year. Use Moab as a base and maybe do a one-nighter into SW Colorado. I want to check out Bears Ears National Monument some more too and that's about an hour or two south of Moab. Moab is a much different type of desert compared to Parker and has much more to offer.

Also it's Parker, not Palmer. and the lack of shade won't be bad with the temperature. Desert weather that type of year is extremely nice as long as there isn't wind, low 70s and a little chilly at night.

I might still go to Parker just to camp and hangout since it's only 4 hours, not interested in wheeling much in that area. Moab is only 11.5 hours if I skip the scenic route. Flag is 7.5

I'm only going to Jambo this year if @FirstGenVol and @bmf4069 goes.

Or if @Mr.bee finally lifts his truck and puts on some 33's.

Otherwise I'm boycotting Jambo, because it's too hot to camp in Texas in May and Jambo is starting to get over crowded anyways.

I might go if I buy a fan that runs on power tool batteries though.

    I'm down for Colorado...
Also I just found Parker and it's only 1.5 longer drive for me than Sedona. I-10 the whole way looks like. Problem is once I get that close to CA, what's to stop me from driving to the coast and overstaying my welcome on @RUSTYNUTS couch and starting a band and fucking shit up

With them being separated now, jambo is a possibility.

    AZ or Jambo?

I probably won't make it to Texas if we do Utah. I also want to make it to Arkansas for the epic solar eclipse.

To your point, camping in the heat doesn't sound fun

If we make the trip we have a friend in Salt Lake City we'd like to see. Win win. She's got a 5th gen 4Runner and might even tag along on some trails.

I have zero intent to add armor. Even if it was a bolt-on affair. I don't legit offroad enough to justify it. 99% of my driving is surface streets, forest paths, and making my way to fishing holes, sometimes thru areas vehicles weren't meant to be ... cautiously. I'd never live it down if I was huckin' and fucked my shit up. The wife would literally remind me about it every time I left the house, for any reason, for the rest of my life.
