I‘ve been working on my engine swap truck all morning. I just came over for lunch 5 minutes ago and now i see this. I’m pretty sure if i had a couple 55 gallon drums of bondo, concrete pump truck, and a cement trowel i could get that rolled 1st gen lookin pretty good from 20’ away...at night.

I gotta be honest, I would love to have a Yota junkyard. If I win the lottery, I'm doing it. And nothing will be for sale to the public. I have mental issues.

This is real tempting. It shows pending right now though. There's a reason I don't get on marketplace right now. I don't have the funds or room for anything else at the moment. That truck doesn't look like it's got a lot of good body panels left either.

Has anyone with SPC UCA's had to replace their upper ball joints yet? Mine have over 30k miles on them now. I found that Auto Zone sell them which surprised me. $132 for replacement ball joints. Toytech wants $174.

I got a pair in 2022 for $134 shipped here, they went up $5 by then:

    https://www.headstrongoffroad.com/s...ment_Greasable_Ball_Joint_(PAIR)_-_25001.html

If you have SPCs, I reccomend reading this from SPC and looking at figure 3 on where to check for play. https://www.spcalignment.com/partFAQ/25001_FAQ.pdf

I did have to replace one that made noise and this helped me diagnose.

Looking around the net today I found a 79 pickup 2wd at a salvage yard. I so want to swap it with a 5vz, supercharger and slam it! Old school mini truck.

You own a dial indicator or you just eyeballed it? How many miles did you get out of that one?

No, I didn't use a dial indicator. On one side of the truck, I could feel play in the green arrow and replicate the noise I was hearing when I grabbed the spindle and UCA. Some vertical movement is normal due to the internal wear spring (play at the red arrow). Want to say I got at least 30k out of it?

I've thought about replacing mine but probably won't til I hit 300k on the clock. I think I installed the SPCs 50k ago. But now I wonder if that's what's squeaking.

So I did a bit of plumbing before bed. I figured out how to remove the stopper for the tub in the master bathroom so that I could get all of the hair out of the drain. I was tired of taking a bath with my shower. It was a bit more invasive than the stopper in the hall bathroom.
After removing the hair, the wife claims that is not her hair. She believes that it belongs to the old woman who used to live here. I find that funny because I did not have a drainage issue until a month ago, three months after we moved in.
She also claims to have seen the widow‘s husband’s ghost who died on 2016. I have yet to experience this. However, I say, bring it on. Confirmed haunted Airbnbs brings more money

Most things are for sale at the right price. Empty would probably let that one go for $60 in cash.
