Only reason I say attic is b/c I've managed to hold onto a number of parts then send them to some of the longer-time members around here to help out with other stuff. Nice not having to hit a JY.

Actually if your lspv and brakes are setup right that's exactly what you want to do.

Shifty`, you're one of the only people among us that can remember what parts you put where. I used to save a lot, but can't usually recall exact details without looking at the part... and it's never quick remembering exactly where I put each.

That said, I've been really happy with the TRD suspension on my 2.5 gen so I've accumulated take-off from other forum members' trucks, planning to replace mine with OEM when the originals are worn out. So... I store stuff too.

Thanks for the correction. So how exactly does that valve work? Let's assume you are are not lifted in the rear and you put a bunch of weight in the bed. The prop valve is supposed to sense this and do what exactly? Send more braking bias to the rear?

So if you lift the rear but don't extend the bracket you'd potentially be overworking the front brakes?

    ↑ this.

And as it goes the other way it closes off and allows less pressure. So the rears don't lock up before the fronts under heavy braking.

I don't know, but I lifted the rear and didn't do shit on both my tacos. No adjustment, no bracket. But they were compact trucks with 265/75r16s.
I don't think I bought the bracket for a few weeks or months until after I lifted my tundra. Sometimes before I installed the bracket, I adjusted the BPV pretty high. I think I only left two threads showing on top of the nut.

Sometimes. IIRC, that's a 1st gen SC3.8. I don't remember the designation though. 2nd gen was 97-0something. About the time they updated the grand prix and started dropping LS3s in them. But, that Regal is a lot of car for that engine to haul around. Plus, this is still for sale...

The line up of products they chose on how it's made Season 20, Episode 11 is absolutely wild to me.

This has been mentioned elsewhere, but I cant remember if I saw it in the recent LSPV discussion or not.

There is a kit available to replace the factory LSPV with a manual valve
    https://www.firstgentundra.com/firs...te-kit-for-wilwood-manual-proportioning-valve

    The valve
    https://www.summitracing.com/parts/wil-260-12627?rrec=true

I see this having equal pro's/cons. Probably a great option if you have a somewhat consistent load on the truck, or don't mind rolling underneath to make a quick adjustment. It also eliminates all the linkage mess and tidy's up the rear brake lines.

    Burnout mode anyone?

If you're doing brake lines anyway, would be neat to have that wilwood valve on the dash.
My '88 comanche had a lspv & when i lifted it i replaced the riser (equivalent to our axle side mount) with a turnbuckle & lock nuts.

Shop doing tires and alignment called. Asked them to go over my work and doublecheck stuff; got a callback complaining about how they weren't happy to see the overload spring installed with the AAL, wanted to pull the AAL and swap in a 1.5" block, when I said, "I'm down as long as it's not more than $400-500", I got the "Yeah, gonna be more than that".

No mention of the "Too much slack on e-brake cable". "Rear brakes way out of adjustment, shocked if the rears were even engaging". Latter of which is absolutely not the case, but w/e. e-brake was working fine last time I used it, so ... I guess everyone has their opinion. They're dialing in alignment now, hoping I can run to pick it up after lunchtime.

Definitely feeling a little geeky and excited today having found a used book with examples on writing TCL code (pronounced tickle) to use for interactive scripts when performing digital behavioral simulations in Modelsim for FPGAs. It should make my work a lot easier now.

I know maybe 1-5% of the population here knows what i’m talking about.

I didn't think it was that big of deal to run the overload spring. What's their concern?

Did you give them any alignment guidance? I hope you have better luck than me with getting yours aligned correctly. Neither 4x4 shop in town seems to understand what is needed. One told me "there is no such thing as too much caster"...
