This is a dry fit. One bolt up front, and two zip ties.

@Professional Hand Model I'm not getting this bracket system they used for this.

Maybe I've got the wrong side on?

Seems to me I need to go forward more, but I am out of track underneath the board.

This is what I made sense out of this mess.

Of the 3 bolts holes I used the first one because I do not have enough track to reach the other two.

    Does this look half-ass right?

I'll admit, I'm struggling. Maybe I shouldn't have skipped breakfast, and lunch.

    Here was the game plan.

Mount the front bolt, and ziptie the other two brackets into position. That would tell me we're the self tappers go.

Mount it with self taps and then I could get my measurements for support brackets to threaded studs under tha cab.

    The plan went bye bye.

On the plus side. No more zip ties. Its all on its own.

Will be a fun one to make brackets.

If you don't start taking care of yourself imma fly to TN, pick up @FirstGenVol, and we're gonna drive to KY and whoop your ass. Go eat, chill on the truck a second. It can wait. You need to take care of you first. CALM DOWN.

Well, I guess if I flew to TN @FirstGenVol would pick me up. But whatever, that's besides the point.

    Haven't seen Clockwork in decades.

Just took the pup to the local brewery for the first time. Hes a certified chick magnet, a real natural. The young blonde bartender said "ooooooooh" and he immediately sat down, turned his head to the side and smiled. Hes got the moves! He suddenly had every lady working there fighting for his attention. I showed them he sleeps in a beer box, so they gave me a new one.
    20200701_115914.jpg

I'm glad they're cool with dogs there because I want to socialize him and it's hard to do with this stay at home stuff. I can't stand when dogs see people and freak out barking, he definitely won't be that way.

The truck is full of 2x4s and plywood, fridge is full of beer, tomorrow I clear the garage and build shelves.

i went with bed bars across the bed when I use the RTT. Got a length that fits both trucks. I just don't like the weight on the roof of a lifted truck. (Regular car roof rack makes a handy ramp to slide tent onto the cross bars.)

No, that's just dinner. You need to at least pick 2 of the 3. I do breakfast and dinner, and make dinner very sizable. But only because I recently found out I'm overweight. So now I'm skipping lunch for a while.

Damn dude. I thought my part of TX was flat. Damn canadians won't let us have nothin....l

Those running boards are tricky to get to lay flat. I loosened all the hardware bolts slightly BEFORE installing the first mount bolt onto the body. That allows some manipulation room and gives you slight adjustment before final screw down.

Its a compound adjustment install without all the original body brackets. I couldn’t find any online instruction and even the parts schematic is vague. Looks like you are working all the angles pretty well. Just take your time and you’ll get it right. Mine get used mucho since the install and everyone loves them after not having them prior.

This morning I awoke from a peaceful slumber, the words of @bmf4069 still reverberating in my brain.

I suddenly found myself in the kitchen, pouring a cup of joe, and fixing a light breakfast. Two eggs, two pieces of toast, and fried bologna.

After my meal, I retired to the swing to listen to the sounds of nature, enjoy the morning dew, and bask in the glorious morning sunshine.

I sat there for some time, sipping on coffee, and listening to the birdsong. I don't know how long, but long enough for the egg nutrients to travel to my brain. Seized cogs, and gears in my brain broke free from their bindings, and began turning freely again. Meshing together ever so nicely. I had an epiphany. I suddenly knew the error of my ways.

I went inside, and donned my apparel. Underwear is only good for the porch swing, and loongie time.

I went out to the back, and set up shop. Within 10 minutes I had the passengers side running board set the way I wanted it, and then started to investigate reinforcement.
    20200703_080300.jpg
After some time laying on my back, and evaluating the situation. Test fitting things here, or there. I had another epiphany. 20200703_080449.jpg
The "blue" stud was bent downward slightly. Enough to cause moutning problems later on. I took a Phillips bit out of a screwdriver, put the 3/16 hole in it over the stud, and pushed up. Bent it back into shape. After doing that I saw the "pink" weld nut for the first time. I looked at the center bracket, and saw it was the same.

Another realization, the OEM brackets must have used a dual cab mount design for extra strength. A through hole with an M8×1.25 bolt at the pink location, and another through hole to fit over the threaded stud.

The local steel place I got the original 3×3 square tubing from is closed today because it is the day before 4th of July.
    20200621_073438.jpg
I'll cut up the remaining 3x3 tube to make a smaller support brackets. It will be better than just the zip screws.

Kinda stinks I'll have to make brackets twice, but ya know. Its how it goes.

    Just a heads up.

On Amazon 8.4 4.56 Yukon gear is on sale for $139 (usually $271).

Eastcoastgearsupply has motive 4.56 7.5 gear on sale for $160.

I canceled my svl amazon order and bought the motive gear so I can get my gears installed sooner than later!
