    Shiiiiiiit.

I had a pretty sweet 2001 Pathfinder. Loved that body style. The transmission started acting up at 50k miles before I totalled it.

I had a 6 speed manual 2003 Maxima that drank oil with 35k miles but was very fast for a sedan.

Even Ray Charles can see why kids love Cinnamon Toast Crunch, and a broken clock is right twice a day. Doesn't mean either one is fully functional as another which lacks those problems.

I was curious about this too. I held one up to the headliner of my 2000 AC the other day, and surprisingly its matches the contour perfectly. The Sequoia has a much bigger cut in the headliner for the OHC compared to the Tundra. Thats what ultimately made me change my mind. You may also need the bracket for the rear mounting screws too.

I'll be doing a composite panel in place of the garage door hatch for some toggle switch goodness.

Im planning on throwing the Sequoia OHC on ebay, it should net me a cool hundo.

So we're taking my daughter's tree in to get my old tires put on it. I fire Ironman up and he started smoking and jumping around idling. I took it anyways since I had the tires in the bed, and it started bucking at 3k rpm. Well that's not good. We drop the tree off and I pull the codes.

    I broke my old record!

    20230818_111926.jpg

    Here's what I got:

    20230818_115453.jpg

I unplugged my maf and the idle went back to normal, well, shakey, but that's my normal. Still doesn't like 3k rpm. Went to vatozone and got some maf cleaner, no dice. I guess MAF sensors can just up and die randomly? Weird. New denso or Hitachi will be ordered if y'all concur.

Out of the blue. It's all misfire, lean, and MAF codes.

So MAF, O2 sensor and maybe vacuum / intake leak are good possibilities?

Check the fuses under the hood mine idled like shit and wouldn't go above 3k when the oxygen sensor heater wire grounded out and popped the fuse. I think it was ECU2 on my 04.

True, but it's only been parked a few days. We got the tree tagged and plated Wednesday.

I think vacuum and intake are ruled out. Its lean on both banks.

nah, hes looking forward to hanging out with his new brother.

I'll keep an eye on that.

Oh yeah, I won't forget that. Still not buying off scAmazon.

I'm going with air metering/air intake issue. But spray to check for intake manifold leaks! Maybe you blew gasket again.

I'd pull neg battery cable, get some CRC MAF cleaner, clean MAF, let it come to room temp, reinstall, fire up, idle for 5 minutes and make sure your crackhead neighbor doesn't steal the truck, then go for a ride.

Appearance-wise, same general sidewall pattern, but smoother transition from the tread into sidewall. No more chainsaw-blade-style-hook. Tighter gap on tread. KO3 on left, KO2 on right. (Or KO3 top, KO2 bottom for smaller screens)

I wish I knew how this worked better but I know the biggest complaint for KO2's is wet road traction. It looks like they made changes to help with that.

Comparing the same size, load range C, the KO3 is 5lbs heavier.

They are already offering a $20/tire mail in rebate on KO2's. Give it a month and I bet the discount will go up.

Wouldn't lean mean more air than fuel? Vacuum leak at the intake would draw in more air than the MAF is seeing, so less metered fuel. Not saying it’s that, but something as simple as a large intake vacuum line being broken or chewed through could creat a lean condition. I would suspect MAF or O2 sensors first, but it’s free to check all the intake and vacuum line connections.

Yup, this was my thought as well. Either MAF is reading 'off' and reporting less air than actual, thus injectors aren't firing as much fuel in, thus lean all banks.

Else, air is entering the system improperly after the MAF, either from something off at TB, catastrophic failure of the intake ...

    But to add to that...

Or it may just be none of the above, and fuel pump died, thus it's not pushing adequate fuel into the injectors. Or fuel pump relay isn't kicking the pump from low- to high-output. Bypassing the fuel relay could potentially resolve that.

I'd be checking pressure to fuel rail also.

While I could see how O2 could play into this, I'd be shocked to be seeing it on both banks simultaneously. Bilateral failure of O2s would be pretty impressive.

I honestly like the profile and tread of the Baja Legend EXP and Baja Boss more than the BFG KO tires. Sad thing is, only one comes in 285, the other in 275.

The Baja Boss is the only other tire I'm considering. I'll wait for more KO3 reviews.

I'm basically between one of the two. I've heard nothing but awesome feedback on both tires. Good ride, low noise, nice water response, easy to balance, whole package.

I think I'm going with the Legend EXP in a 275/70r17. If I hate it, I'll probably switch up to the Boss in 285/70r17.

I want the extra meat, but I don't want the extra weight or rotational mass, hence the 275. I know the 285 will probably "look" better, but overall I think the 275 suits my current driving and needs better, and will look equally good.

Dreading the thought of 285 and my MPG dropping down into the 11s again, or even worse the 10s.
