Wrong cab type, and I wouldn't recommend paying $350 just to get a tailgate :D

Thanks guys! So far I've had 3 meetings that were not needed, had to yell at 2 apprentices, realized I forgot duct bank chairs for a job starting Monday, had another job's start date move up to Monday, and put out quotes for 2 $20k material lists.

Perfect. From my extensive (and by extensive I mean 5 minutes of Google) it looks like everything we're looking for is less than a 15 minute walk from the Gold/Red line.

Pretty sure the tailgates are different anyway what with the superior DC having a deeper bed:boink:

So basically the north-south line. I'm sure you see in the map (large version here) the red/gold lines appear to run parallel. They're actually running on the same tracks, so be careful to read what the front of the train and/or signs say is the final destination: Doraville for gold line exits, North Springs for red line exits. I don't remember if the 1st crossover station is at Lindbergh or Arts Center. I know crossover is possible at Arts Center, and Midtown, possibly North and Civic too. Watch when you get out at the airport also, just in case :)

If you get a chance to break away, and you love a good hazy IPA, Biggerstaff Brewing in Old 4th Ward is freaking awesome. Know the brewer personally, did most of their technology including wiring up the industrial stuff. There's tons of other stuff to do, but you may already been planned up so I won't throw crap at you :D

Appreciate all the info. I'm always up for a good brewery but we're only in town for the weekend so I'm not sure what all we'll accomplish.

We're staying at the Glenn Hotel downtown and I know the wife has plans for the aquarium, World of Coke, and the puppetry museum. We usually just like to wing it and see what's interesting nearby depending on time.

Hot damn, I could genuinely throw a rock at you if I actually went into work anymore, I used to watch people fill up the top-floor bar/restaurant area a few years ago from the room I used to sit in.

Some more unsolicited tips. Now CNN cleared almost entirely out, moving closer to GA Tech's stadium, it's pretty dead when there's not events going on at the arena or Centennial Olympic Park.

First off, there's no "unsafe" place where you guys will be. You're going to see homeless people, they're harmless, they're just there for nearby churches with hot meals. More opportunistic crime happens in Midtown. Even though they've made things 'no panhandling' areas, sometimes people may ask you. "Sorry, got nothing on me".

Second, once at Five Points station, make a habit of exiting/entering via Forsyth street. Commit that to memory. If you exit to Broad Street Plaza, you're basically going to dump out where a our resident homeless drunks and a couple crazies like to hang out. The other two exits just add a lot of extra walking to do.

Where you are is a bit of a food desert, though there's options within a block or three. Avoid the burger place attached to the corner of the 2story parking deck across the street from Glenn. Park Bar on the diagonal corner of that lot/block is definitely worth hitting up for food, it's totally pub food but kid friendly, good beer on tap, good music. there's a BBQ place and a beer tap place if you walk a block a block past CNN center from the hotel, around the football hall of fame. If you're in for a couple blocks walking, there's lots of small places on Broad Street. The CNN building does have a food court with Arby's, F2O, a pizza by the slice spot. If you hop on Marta and go up a block, Peachtree center has a lot of stuff too, Gus's World Famous Fried Chicken is a hidden gem. Midtown is a food mecca, basically from the Fox Theatre up to 17th Street on Peachtree NE is a gold mine. If nobody under 18 (21?) is in your party, Vortex has an atmosphere and Cadillac burgers worthy of a visit, it's 2 blocks SSE of the Midtown MARTA stop.

Not to say Glenn's Kitchen is bad or anything. And honestly, diagonal from the Glenn is Thrive, but they really don't know what they want to be: Sushi place? Burger place? Let's do it all! And upcharge.

DON'T GO TO JIMMY BUFFET'S RESTAURANT, IT'S COMPLETE SHIT. (and they knowingly tore down a very important historical musical site to build that timeshare garbage, which is totally f'ed up. The ferris wheel thingy is a bit of a gimmick too)

Anyway, 20 years here. Happy to reco a couple places if you want a nice dinner or looking for something specific.

We'll have my daughter and her friend who are both 15 but they're responsible enough to be left in the room if we want to head out somewhere in our own.

We really didn't have too much of a plan but you've given me plenty to look at. We're in Cleveland for Six the musical Friday so I booked tickets to Atlanta as a mileage run to get me to the Medallion requalification with Delta for next year.

    Right?

That's something I would have expected more from drunken wanderings near vegas...

Oh. Does anyone want a set of rear 4.56 gears? I bought a set and don't really have a use for them. Just pay for cost + shipping. Or will trade for 4.3's (used is ok if in good condition).

why cant they be 4.3! lol. 4.56 is tempting.. but i think its too aggressive for my truck these days. its purely a tow rig at this point

Then 4.56 should be perfect, what you talking bout Willis? Got them 255's right?

I'd kill for some 4.10's to majickally appear in the 03. I just don't want to have to pay for install and do another 500 mile break in

Oh yeah we briefly talked about that a few weeks ago. I forgot it was you haha
Realistically I'm thinking about getting rid of the 03 in the next year in favor of a 2nd gen Tacoma for my new DD to save gas. I can't justify owning three Toyota trucks unfortunately. I'd love to keep em all lol. Same reason I had to sell my 03 Taco and my 97 T100 :pout:
I only have room for two trucks and I'm never giving up my 06 4x4 Tundra

4.30 based off what i can figure would be ideal mix of pep and fuel while towing

I think 4.30 would be great for 33's in normal on road driving, but I'm not convinced on the towing part. However anything beats 3.90 right?

i dont have a power issue with the 3.93. hence why i think 4.56 would be overkill (plus weaker due to smaller teeth)
