Living in a city of nearly 9 million has advantages but all of your gripes stay the same

 

Here are my cheap backups I keep in the truck for situations like this.

Oddly enough I found some OLD superbrightleds headlights. I don't know why I took them out. Went with those instead of the emergency backups.

The pulsating "bearing noise" turned it to be a harmonic pulley or something noise from the front. Mechanic said its normal

Should I do anything to the hardware?

 

If you want you could paint it, but its not necessary as nobody will see it. Its Aluminum and basically maintenance free. Maybe clean it up with some fine steel wool or fine sand sponge and wipe it with FF or some PB on a rag to catch the oxidation.

 

No, not the alu-mini-um. The steel hardware.

Wire brush it and wipe some grease on it.

 

Watching this video on donut about paint correction. Would this work on my front bumper like his? My front bumper is pretty faded and I know @Darkness bumper is the same. Has anyone tried this?

 

I hit my truck with a buffing wheel and some compound a few months ago. The bumper took a lot of work but came out looking way better.

Nah, wanted a little fun coupe to zip around town and maybe do some power mods. Just cant decide if I spend the money on a miata or similar, all my tundra plans will take longer to come to fruition.

 

Why is everything metric except the mounting hardware on the underside of the running board brackets?

Went ahead, and tapped these two holes circled in blue. I don't know what they are for, but im putting bolts in them to help keep water out.

 

If u cant flush it out, buy a few industrial cans of pb blast and spend an hour of just soaking the shit of the frame rails with it. Then spray a shit ton of woolwax in there. Wait a few weeks then dump a quart of supertech 40w in there
