The 98 will be going to a haltech next year. So with the headers and haltech + injectors and water injection 300wheel should be attainable… which is MORE than enough

I meant to ask how you were doin with this. It sounds like you need to outsource some medical help bro. If it’s an hour drive to talk to a doctor that gives a shit, then that’s what it is. Or…….ok. Fuck it. Pay my airfare and gimme $10k and I’ll swing by and take that thing right outta there with a pair of scissors and some needle nose pliers. Just lemme watch a couple YouTube videos. We got this.

I'd like a compact IH and right angle/butterfly style driver. I wonder how much legit power that right angle drive actually offers up though.

Part of me is sad I moved away from old yella to Bosch. Bosch doesn't offer anything like this. Those are literally the two things I would want the most for impact.

If that was priced at $200, I'd cave. $299 is too spendy.

I can't speak to the right angle one but the other one puts out very impressive numbers. Plus it's so much more compact than my current one (Big Donnie). I can't use him that often because he's in his own way.

Even at $250 I may have jumped but I don't need another charger.

I have neither DeWalt nor Bosch, but when I wanted an impact, I did a ton rod research and chose the Milwaukee compact 3/8. I was amazed by the comparison results research: it beat the 1/2 and took off every lug up to light tractor. I'm not a Max truck mechanic, so I'll probably never need more than this. And I can see your temptation-- compact is sweet. Maybe that same drill you're holding will go below $250 at Labour Day. :fingerscrossed:

Oh my. I didn't realize it came with 2 batteries...

They are the power stack batteries too. I'm not sure if that's just marketing fluff or not but they claim those batteries are better.

Does it come with the batteries? I was looking at the box, and it only shows one battery and a bag. I assumed the sign behind it was unrelated. (EDIT: They're separate, see below)

If so, it's a good buy. I'd pick it up and re-sell the 2pk batteries for a quick c-note and I could be happy with my purchase. I'll go look it up.

scAmazon has the 2pk right now at almost 50% off, just over $110, search for B09KKXPDJ5 *** but it's not the 5.0 aH units.

It's two separate things. The 2pk of 5.0 units is SKU 1007-422-219 and is definitely $299: https://www.homedepot.com/p/DEWALT-...5-0Ah-Battery-Pack-2-Pack-DCBP520-2/319702924

The driver set is SKU 1009-488-413 and is separately $299: https://www.homedepot.com/p/DEWALT-...1-7-Ah-Battery-and-Charger-DCK207E1/324232790

There is no combo deal going on right now for both of these together for $299. If there was, I'd be willing to pay that much.

The drivers with battery and bag aren't worth it. $200 would get me in the door to buy. Sorry, inflation may be up, but I'm not paying that much...

Their marketing fluff is such a goddamn joke. "$950 if purchased individual - great deal!"

GFY with that BS, Dewalt and Home Depot!

Nothing wrong with DeWalt. Big Donnie was made in the US(from global components). Milwaukee straight up made in The People's Republic.

Yup, this is why I went team Blue. I got tired of the Red vs. Yellow, and Blue has been working better.

Honestly at Milwaukee pricing, you may as well go team Orange (Ridgid), they're the same tools in different shells, made by the same company. Ryobi, Milwaukee, Ridgid.

Doesn't Rigid have the best warranty? If I were to switch that's probably where I'd go. I don't use mine enough to justify switching. DeWalt hasn't failed me yet. Their chainsaw has been more than adequate for my yard.

I went with the brand that held up best to abuse during my welding career in oil and gas. I've burned out more DeWalt, Ridgid and Makita cordless tools than I can count. Only a few Milwaukee.

For corded tools though, I default to Makita. My favorite grinder is the Makita rat tail.

When it comes to home jobber level work, it really comes down to what color your like better and then which brand offers the best price and selection in your area. Home jobbers will rarely if ever use their tools enough to find their limits.

I'm still all-Dewalt on most of my corded tools and have yet to burn one up. One exception is my impact drill, which is Makita, and I'll be honest, I've used that SOB to hammer thousands of holes in foundations and concrete walls to mount backboards and center post racks, it's still a beast.

And to this point, I've got a Homelite's chainsaw ... I've beat the living bejesus out of it the last 18 years I've had it and the only thing I've had to replace is the primer bulb assembly because it the rubber split, allowing it to ooze out all the chain oil overnight.

My one major gripe with Bosch is their lack of right-angle impact. I can't believe I missed this PF video covering right-angle impacts. I've always wanted one. I've got both a pneumatic butterfly impact and right angle impact, and my pancake typically has enough air to break stuff free (which is mostly what I use them for, save from busting knuckles). But I really want a right-angle 18x or 20v.

Here's a question. Impact driver or drill, or both? I only have a drill but I see people using both. My Bosch drill has taken a lot of abuse and the original 10 year old batteries still work fine.
