Lurking for any info on A/C recharge. There was something I couldn't get from a dealer that prevented me getting a recharge from French Toast himself. Not sure if that was a part I'd for sure need, or a 'good to have on hand in case you need it' kind of thing, but whatever, I heard from a couple dealers that it's maybe not gonna be made again-?

Meanwhile, I owed a favour of his choice to a friend, who picked me leading him on a trail run this last Sunday. In 106° temp (115° in Hulk's cab). I'll call that the least fun off-road trip in my experience.

New ECU didn’t change a thing. I’m at a loss, it’s got to be a wiring issue.

It’s not that hard, in my eyes, but you’ll be missing a few things to properly, you can’t use the recharge cans from AZ with normal gauges, you need a tank, and also the low side adapter for the fitting on the car. And a scale.
What you could do(still need the low side adapter) is evacuate the system, let it set to leak check, take off gauges, and then hook up one or two of the small cans and guesstimate how much your putting in as close to the factory charge weight as you can

@BubbaW you might've already posted, but got a wiring diagram for the add? And explain to me which signals to override if i wanted to run 2-low? And maybe a t-case wiring diagram to see if i could force a neutral.

Nope, I sure wasn't. I was counting the minutes. But I found a new route for the SoCal 1st gens to run when it's less hot than hell. So that was a silver lining.

100*+ & picks truck parts over overpriced concert tickets. Effin' winning.

i've been fighting tantrums every morning the clouds burn off & while i only do cheap concerts, i bought an extra motorcycle instead of truck parts and have been living in regret ever since.

do they have the fancy machine that measures what they take & how much to put in? Probably a $10k snapon tool. But no guess work & makes sure theres no leaks before charging.

what about wingin' it for $40? Whats it going in? Maybe find the weight it needs?

It's going in the virus. If I have to throw a $40 can at it once every few years, that'd be fine, my biggest "issue" is needing a vacuum pulled because I opened the system when I hit the deer.

And then opened it again fully when we replaced the condenser/dryer combo.

I don't know. My local Raben is sketchy as fuck. They'll do a half job, and then expect payment for a full job.

If i wanted a t-case neutral, and maybe its possible mechanically. What signal does it look for to swap from 2hi to 4hi?

a t case neutral would allow a flat tow.

but if i get a marlin tacobox it'll be mechanical & have neutral, so i'd just have to trick the computer.

    IMG_3554.jpg
interperate this for me, if i want ed the truck to think its activated, but it actually be deactived.

i could have a swich for normal, and bypassed to disengage the add, let the diff spin. Might be fun.

t-case neutral is only really useful if i wanna flat tow, but my jeeps did it & i used it.

Oh, yeah, you got to recalibrate your priorities. Anyway, 100° here is super hot, but nowhere near as hot (because of humidity) as 100° where you are. But tantrums just add to the over-heating. I just hide in the shade (when not off-roading). You, on the other hand, post tales of productivity every day. :angrygirl:

After BubbaW weighs in, I'm thinking g you might want to go read over Cruzer's thread, then hit him up to weigh in on this. Seems tricking his truck into do stuff the engineers didn't build it to do, is his current main objective. Maybe something he's done will help you do what you have in mind.

    Some days.
    IMG_3555.jpg
had to get this done by 3:30 so i wasnt in the sun. Actual oil change tbd. After the sun gets behind the house i'm thinking about cutting some cactus i mowed over last month. Ya'll have more humidity than me, right? Just i might have a couple days without wind.

but i keep truckin. Every little win is still a win.

Damn, that’s cheap. Valvoline specials here are $99 while most shops and the dealer charge $150/charge.

There's a wiring kit for manual t-case swap that has an ADD switch, I'll have to dig around for it from when I was compiling information for my future manual t-case swap. That's how I want to go about getting neutral and 2LO and AWD all in one. Too bad the early Seqouia cases aren't Torsen. I feel like 2LO would have helped on some of my descents in Moab.

Not sure if you can really trick the T case into neutral. When the shift fork shaft is all the way in, it's locked in 2WD, then it moves out to shift into 4WD then Hi/lo. Maybe some electrical guru to get the shift shaft in between phases?

Oh man! That weller 12 is so good. I see Birthday bourbon and the woodford historical entry that I also have on my shelf!
I’ve been knee deep in painting/installing trim throughout the basement, building a tree house for the kids and now tearing off my patio to redo.

c'mon, give those of us that built treehouses a pic of the treehouse. Mine was 3 layers built into an ash & the winch crank was bicycle parts.

    The Dirty T ( ^_^)_且

Don't you guys have jack stands? Easiest way to do a rotation is jack the rear of the truck up by the axle pumpkin and set it on a jack stand on both sides. Then use your jack to take of whichever front wheel you wish while both rear tires are in the air, remove and swap either side.
