I think they had a 4.11 that would work if you used their conversion flange ($107).

Not that I know of... maybe phasing out? But the not in stock items aren't disappearing from the site, so I'm not sure.

Yes, same ratio front and back if 4x4.

As others have said, you'll need install kits for both. It's also a good time to do solid pinion spacers instead of crush sleeves.

What's a conversion flange and why would it be necessary?

The 8", 8.2" and 8.4" are almost interchange. Iirc they have a different spline count and size for the pinion. So if you use a conversion flange that has the correct driveshaft bolt pattern, you can make it work.

Hell, they even do a '29' spline 8" gear set that has the larger 8.4" spline size... So guys that wheel can have the stronger setup.

Or if you're interested, I have a spare 3rd member with 4.10's and oem LSD. I already put a solid pinion spacer and new pinion seal in it. I was considering yanking the LSD and rebuilding it.

Hmmm... I'll think on it. Thanks. I've already got an LSD and it probably needs to be rebuilt.

IDK what's worse. Having to wait in a 2968 person queue or actually pay to see Taylor Swift. I guess you do what you have to in order to please your family. As you can tell, I'm not a big fan.

I mean I'm at work so it's just on in the background while I'm busy doing other things.

Either way we're not going because I'm not willing to pay $850/ticket for the only ones that are currently left, plus the airfare/hotel to get there.

Except I'm not criss-crossing moving fronts to rear. It's what I've done my whole life, jack up one side of the car, swap front/rear. Repeat. I know it's probably "wrong", and not truly "rotation" because you're never shifting left-to-right/right-to-left, but ...

    It's never caused me issues.

She recently had 3 sold out days in ATL. I work near the arena. It was a shitshow sea of tweens and teens everywhere, many dressed inappropriately if not scandalous, flooding the streets. Many with moms, dressed in kind. Janet Jackson was in town at the same time IIRC, and funny enough, the Janet fans were keeping it PG13 in comparison.

    Going for the quadruple!

FYI: Toytec is having a summer clearance sale. I haven't found anything specific to 1st gens that's interesting but they're saying up to 86% off, although I'll bet it's less than 1% of their sale items are more than 40-50% off. Still may be worth looking if anyone is shopping.

The gym I go to has nonstop Top 40 stuff on, so I consider myself quite the connoisseur of Taylor Swift's music. She (or whoever writes her music? is it her?) can crank out some Ohrwurms, that's for sure. "Hi, it's me, I'm the problem it's me..." //starts shaking ass, punches self in face//

Too good to be true. I wonder if they'll honour it for anyone that jumped.

Anyway, I suck at understanding the intricacies of all I need to order so I'm working through it today, based on all of your helpful advice. Gonna see about a quotes from MIT and ProGear for install as well. Gotta get this going.

Have you thought about pricing out fully built units from ECGS and having Bruce swap them out for your current diffs?

I'm glad to see you have more realistic priorities. For $850 a ticket, you'd expect them to be backstage passes.

No because he's not in a truck building phase of life. His full-time job is seriously full-time, includes a lot of travel, so he's focused on home/spouse time when he's local. Plus it's hotter than hot AND I'd like to get it done in time to break it in before San G (Mottino Wash). That's a lot of reasons I'm not even gonna run it by him.

Ok, so, will one of you that knows please verify, can I run 8.4" ratio on my 2002 AC 4x4? I noticed Dave's boxes and the link he posted are for 7.5".

I gather that 8.4 will be stronger for off-road stress, and there's a "conversion flange", but I don't know how I'd know this stuff, bolt pattern and anything else. Add solid pinions spacer(s)-- is that 1each, front and back? And I've seen what looks like forward and reverse. Is that one of each, front; one of each back (like that's how they work, fit together-?).

Any of you already spec everything for your own 2002 AC 4x4  and want to share?
