Any of you guys who are looking for the Cadillac of Fluke multi-meters, the Fluke 87V is on sale at 39% off for $318.62 on Amazon right now. Knowing how these things change, I guarantee it'll probably be gone tomorrow at that price point if it doesn't sell out. I would've bought one myself if I ever thought it would go that low again, but I have my Fluke 117 to get me by. Keep in mind that Amazon is actually an authorized dealer for Fluke so long as you don't buy it from a 3rd party on their site. End of service announcement.

@shifty' :boink: in case you want to upgrade over that free relic you have.

Diagnosis is in: I have a severe peritonsillar abscess, and apparently a pretty wicked sinus infection to go along with it. Exactly what I wanted a week prior to when I was hoping to get under the truck and install my CO & UCA.

Sorry dude, nothing worse than health bs. Go find more scores online to augment the truck fund?

    Ding ding ding! You win.

Doc didn't drain. He said last one he drained was 15 years ago and with how much of a rager the sinus infection was (funny, feels about 1/3 as bad as a simple sinus infection before I got roto-rooted), he prescribed some low-level antibiotics and if it doesn't reduce significantly or go away by Tuesday, he'll get me into an ENT same-day.

I hope it's not the ECU, but ... man, I'd be tempted to try and find a used one in a junkyard with the same p/n on it.

And btw, the two things you marked 'not relay' on there is your door harness. IIRC, the blue/green wired plug should be your door speakers. The rest on the other are your window/lock controls.

It's supposed to be the most accurate if you look up the specs on the Fluke 87V. You can probably find a comparison table somewhere of your Fluke to the 87V.

Oh, so like the stuff after the decimal point?

I can see the appeal. For me it's 99.99% 12-14v as "on" and 0-1v as "off" then a little bit of ground continuity and maybe a 6v once in a long while. I should really up my game I think. Thanks for the deets.

Plus it'll do relative measurements, so you can zero out the ohms in the test lead before measuring and it'll do an autohold of your result so you don't have to hold it to what your measuring constantly to see the captured result. Personally, I like that the resolution on current measurements go down to 0.1 uA.

The only thing I don't like personally is the size of it but that's for the protection provided by the rubber case. I prefer the smaller Fluke 117 I have.

Just remember, gender is all your fault! She might be cursing you right now, she'll surrounded by a buncha dicks :bananadance:

Seriously though, congrats. Now I guess you only gotta worry about what just one more dick is doing, instead of what all the dicks out there are doing.

Is that one of those drop towers on the left? Those are awesome to leave a penny on your lap and watch it free fall with you.

Yeah, for me, it's food, the 3 buildings of vendors trying to sell me stuff I never knew I need, then I hit the photography and woodworking exhibits. If I go more than one time per year, I may branch out. In years past, great concerts were included, so I'd go multiple times in a year.

I'm kinda over crowds of people (certainly don't want to watch them), so usually just one day each year is enough. But I try not to miss that one day.

Yeah, I just purchased a tested and definitely good ecu for $95. Not super cheap but it’s cheaper than other ones online and it was from a super good seller.

I looked into junkyards around me, but there’s literally only four 1GTs within 50 miles of me. They just get so rusty here that when they get brought to the yards they’re just crushed. Somehow only two of them were 4wd anyway.

Sweet Jesus! My 8000 BTU AC has gone from $320 when I bought it to $700. They're really gouging people with the demand for AC units and the heat.

Luckily the one I have looks like it's easily cleanable after watching a video to take it apart.
