@shifty` that is probably some sort of infection in one of your lymph nodes. Your palatine tonsils are back there. Hope they can give you some antibiotics to calm that thing down. I look inside mouths for a living and I gotta admit, that’s a weird one.

I wish! I’ve been pretty tied up. Old man has been in the hospital since last Friday. My business has also really been growing, hired a second secretary. Looking at getting a bigger office space to accommodate. Got snipped this morning to top it all off, as 3 kids is enough. Can’t wait to put some time in on the Tundra though.

That's a fair list of good reasons for not getting truck stuff installed. I'm sorry your dad is in the hospital; I hope he recovers well. Also, that business is good, and you're satisfied with the three you've got. :)

Well that could be no bueno. I have an autoimmune disorder that quintuples my chances for non-hodgkin's. :anonymous:

Sorry to hear about pops. Awesome on the business though. Hopefully your doc is a better sartor than mine and you don't blow a stitch the day after like me, which turns an otherwise 2-3 days worth of healing into 2-3 weeks of extra care. :frusty:

Yo dawg, I got an update yesterday from your cousin up in the last frontier...

Are the 4WD relays internal to the 4WD ecu?? The electrical diagram shows that there are no relays that are external to the ecu, but the FSM it shows the relays as separate from the ecu.

I'm in the middle of a 4WD fixing rabbit hole right now... I'll post all about it on my thread when it's over. I’m starting to think that the ecu might be bad, but I really don’t want to spent more money on parts until I know what it is. I’ve spent $914 so far on parts and a mechanic, and still no 4wd.

I missed what the symptoms were for your no 4wd problem. Did you post them already?

I don't think I've posted the updated ones. Here they are: (keep in mind that both of my actuators are brand new OEM)

    - Tcase motor shifts just fine, no issues
    - ADD motor will shift out of 4WD but not in
    - Green flashing light when button is pressed
    - One single relay click when turning 4wd on
    - 6 or 7 relay clicks when turning off

My very competent mechanic diag'd it as a bad ADD actuator. I bought one from the stealer and threw it in, same issue.

When you press the 4hi button, both actuators engage and your 4hi works? Will it also shift into 4lo and work? Problem is it won’t shift out of 4wd?

The ADD wont shift in. It will shift out no problem.

If I jumper the right pins on the ADD, it'll shift to the 4WD engaged position without an issue, but when it's connected to the truck it doesn't move. Test light on the connector is showing only a quick blip of power.

So a relay or ECU power signal is the next plausible problem. Makes sense.

@shifty` - may be a peritonsillar abscess. That would require draining the pus and a course of antibiotics. Suggest ENT doc if your PCM unsure.

Has anyone taken apart a newer (less than 5-10 years old) window mount air conditioner to clean any mold growing inside the styrofoam ducts?

I took apart my old Whirlpool from 2005 to do this and truthfully, it would have been a lot easier to just buy a new one since I needed to disassemble EVERYTHING just to get the duct work out.

These newer ones in the last 10 or more years have a lot more styrofoam inside so I'm wondering if it's any easier or not. Mine is an 8000 BTU air conditioner made by Frigidaire. I'd hate to toss a 5 year old AC just because of mold growth. Also, spraying diluted bleach inside won't get to all of it.

I did this one, but didn’t go full ham like you’re describing. Took the front face off and unplugged the controls. 6 screws. Took a toothbrush to the fins inside and then disinfected after the debridment. The styrofoam, I just reached down in there and cleaned as best I could.

Maybe if I get the front bezel off, I can use a borescope I have with some type of flexible spray wand to make sure I get everything. I'll have to see when it cools down and don't need it for a while.
