There’s a company in Cali that retrofits old cars with EV powertrains.

300 hectares on single tank of kerosene

Back when your average shade-tree mechanic could actually work on common auto problems without $100,000 in scanners and electronics to do so. I can probably rebuild a quadrajet while blindfolded.

If my math checks out, my Monojet should be at least four times easier to rebuild. :)

Helped the FIL put an inverter in the back of his farm truck so he can water the redwoods on the backside of his property. First things first, clean out under the bed liner!
    IMG_1533.jpg
Then wired up a removable 1000w inverter for his water pump.

I’ll snap a pic of them in a little.

He doesn’t plan on keeping it mounted unless he’s watering. It’s summer, so no rain. Plus he uses the bed weekly for rock, wood chips and compost. Got him some caps for the leads and they’ll tuck safely under the liner.

    1/5hp, about 480w

I'll throw Dutch Bros in the ring for drive thru coffee, good stuff. I've been buying stock as well, in true Ape fashion. For best coffee at the house, I have heard roasting your own beans is a game changer. This was from a reliable source, buddy swears by it. Plan on giving it a shot when I get the time.

Every other day i'll make a fresh pot. But microwaved coffee aint too bad. Sometimes i'll walk by & swirl it around in the pot for some extra flavor.

Also, just took a little vacation. Wife didn't want to go anywhere too far from home, so got a place on Lake Travis. My sister came so we had a built in babysitter. We were able to head downtown one night and goto Rogans new club, Comedy Mothership. Caught a Rogan and Friends show, and it was badass! Saw Brian Simpson, Ron White, JR, and a couple of other big names. 40 bucks a ticket and a two drink minimum, pretty awesome deal. Crushed some flaming Dr. Peppers after the show and got sauced up. Showed the old lady the 50 states.

I gave up coffee (with a few exceptions a year) because I couldn't have it within an hour before or after taking my medication (because citric acid and ascorbic acid) and I couldn't smoke at work. Still can't, but as you know, I quit anyways. 12hr shifts with no smoke breaks made it easier to quit both cigs and coffee. Because I exclusively drank my coffee with a smoke for years.

I wasn't sure if it deserved an individual post, so I figured I'd ask here. What am I in for when switching to 5.29s and truetracs front and rear? I just ordered diffs from ECGS for my truck.

Aggresive. What tire size are you planning to run? Probably be great for 35s.

I'm sticking with 33s for now, at least until I exhaust my current tires.

I want to eventually move to 35s, and I'd prefer the gearing to be shorter than stock for a bit more "beans".
