I intentionally have tape over my company mandated webcam and just continually explain I'm having issues with it and I'm waiting on tech support to handle.

Currently in the national queue of several hundred calls ahead of me to handle the issue. #winning

I hate throwing parts at stuff, but maybe hit a JY and find a compatible 4WD ECU to swap it out, make sure it's not the problem? I only reco this because it'd be more effort for me, in your shoes, to diagnose the situation and others have seen similar symptoms when the 4WD ECU failed.

Note to self: Don't buy any cars from north TX in the coming years.

Talk about the luckiest LBJ fail ever... I'll take replacing a rim over repairing body damage any day.

    Could be worse...

I don’t think the 4WD ECU is the issue. Of course, I’m not completely certain, but it sure seemed to me like the ADD actuator was trying to work, but it couldn’t.

Also, when I installed only the Tcase one, it responded correctly. When I unplugged the Tcase motor, both the 4HI and 4LO lights would blink nonstop. This aligns with what others have said and is what I expected it to do.

I can't remember back thru what all you've tested or done at this point. It sounds like you've verified the wiring, unplugged the harnesses to make sure none of the pins are bent or corrosion/melt hasn't happened to the actual plastic connectors, you know at least some signals are getting to the actuator, and unless I misread, it seems like the actuator is throwing around the things it's supposed to. When the 4HI button is blinking and the truck shifted to park, can is it possible to freely rotate the front driveshaft by hand, either easily, or with some semblance of force?

With the 4HI button pressed, the front driveshaft is locked into the Tcase, and it spins with the rear shaft when the truck moves. With 4HI off, the front driveshaft spins easily.

Both front wheels spin freely with 4HI on or off.

Yeah, my next vehicle after this purchase will most likely be when I’m living on a fixed income. Can’t really splurge when that happens.

Most of that is just south of I-40 between western and Georgia. The park is at 45th and Coulter.

So with all that flooding going on my daughter went to a "club" right where the flooding was happening. You couldn't get to it from the front so you had to take the back way in. Well, it started raining that night. Her DD drove right into a deep spot and flooded the car. Cops have the whole area blocked off so we can't even get to it. She says it turns over so hopefully she didn't hydrolock it. This was on Wednesday. I'm gonna head up today and see if it's clear. She's been driving Ironman these past few days and has actually enjoyed it. I said if her car is fucked we should get her a 1st gen.she said if it wasn't for the mileage she would.

Gotta be honest, this is the only gripe I have with my truck. And if I didn't actually use the 4WD occasionally, I'd probably prefer a 2WD just to get the extra MPG or two.

I'm shocked nobody has figured out an economical way to bump up the MPG on vehicles a solid 50% or more. I know I'd fork over a solid $1,500-$2,000 for something that'd get me closer to 20MPG, and I'm sure there must be 10s of thousands of other truck owners out there in the same boat. That kind of invention would make someone a millionaire, unless China stole it.

Is there a propane version of the 2uz? With like 6.5:1 compression. Coated pistons & lean burn.
    Compushift and tc lockup override?

I'd like a choke lever from an older edger that changes the perameters of a few sensors, like lowering iat & throttle position and increasing the maf & bypassing the o2sensors. Maybe a fuel cooler.

i dont have proof, but i believe running dual brakepad springs is giving me half an mpg.

It's rare that I get excited about a Ford but I've always loved this body style. My friend's 1996 F-250 is in great shape.

My dads '89 was 'CLUB XLT' and i sat in the back between 2 dual 6x9 boxes with 30 ft of cable to spread the speakers out. It was amped, and mom & dad were ace of base clubbers. Z cabbarichi's & dance shoes. Lol.
Qualudes and xanax, eventually into cocaine and crack. Neither one can be trusted with pain pills. Dad and i refuse to use em, mom still abuses em. But we hide her keys.

See they all say that, but try to even show most truck owners your lowered truck and you'll lose em. You want 20mpgs in your Tundra? Ditch the 4wd, lower it, possibly use smaller tires, keep it under 55mph and keep city driving to a minimum

Yup, ngl. If my truck was 2WD I'd probably lower it. But that's ultimately why I've been passively eyeballing an early 1st gen Taco 2.4L the last couple years. Emissions exempt here, not horribly difficult to FI, easy to lower, looks awesome lowered, decent amount of aftermarket parts out there.

I wanna channel the ranger. Put the chassis inside the cab. Bit i use it as my sxs, and cant afford the ground clearance. Might channel the titan, but if it doesnt die i wanna swap dads q45 with the big engine & sas the titan with a carb'd vk45 built for revs. Solid lifter, so it'll be able to bark.

that’s a stupid high dollar truck these days. 7.3s always bring a premium but their value is on the upswing even more because “pre-emissions”. Especially since the epa has crackdown on tuning on the newer trucks.

    7.3s
    6.0s
    5.9s
6.7 Cummins through 12 before def
the older duramax’s also through like 07.

*Prices on pre-emissions trucks are closing the gap on emissions equipped trucks quickly.

My gripe with the duramax’s is the ifs front end. Other than that that power train is pretty solid.

@DJenerated 6.4’s get that title. The thing with a 6.0 is you gotta pay to play a little money goes along way with em . The aftermarket has pretty well fixed those trucks and the performance shops know how to build them if you want high hp and torque.. My mom and dad have an 04 job1 6.0 truck that has an egr delete, sinister blue spring kit, and has been swapped to non silica coolant. The nice thing about the job 1 trucks is you don’t even need a tune to remove the egr, you just unplug it, and install some block off plates. If I could find one cheap enough I’d have one. They tow like a freight train. People run into a lot of issues with them when they stick monster tunes on them and do the bare minimum for “bullet proofing” that motor.

    The Dirty T ( ^_^)_且

I had driven nothing but 4x4 Toyota trucks since the 80s until I bought my current Gen 2.5 in 12/2013. At the time I realized that I hadn't used the 4wd in years and might as well save a couple thousand on the purchase, fuel, etc. It was a good choice as the truck is a daily driver and tow pig. I have had no need for 4x4, well except at the Ciders recently for Go Fast Friday, but I kept my foot in it and made it through without getting stuck, barely.
