If you have ryobi batteries it's a good deal. Not sure how great it is if you don't. It's ryobi days right now and you can get some great deals. Especially if you play the system just right.

Shiiiiit homies, I gotta sleep sometime! LOL.

Nawl, no over heat. My rad hasn't popped yet. Just burning off left over oil from that leak I documented, and have yet to fix.

Note about driving around with a hi-rise cap:

i dont know if its the extra drag, or reverb from enclosing the bed, but my truck sounds extra good climbing hills in overdrive. About 2krpm @ 60, it brings the noise if i keep it from downshifting. my average fuel economy isnt going to like this, but now its gonna bug me more when i creep too close to a downshift.

Beautiful pic though. Liked the colors & mix of despair & panic. Clean light pointing the way to understanding, and hope for dawn to bring answers to irrelevant questions.

Thinking that I wanna set of Falken Wildpeak A/T3W in 265/75R16. They come in two flavors... the less expensive rated for 116T usage weighing in at 44 lbs and the higher priced 123/120S weighing in at 52.5 lbs. My towing will be limited to a single axle enclosed trailer and I will be putting in about 6K highway miles this fall dragging this trailer out to hunt the rugged offroad area of ID. It's rocky...
    What say yall?

I'd get the heavier for that. I dislike changing tires off-road so I buy tires with more layers.

So it rained for 2 weeks in Amarillo. Amarillo wasn't built for 2 weeks of rain. Here's a few pics I got today.

I know some of yall have seen worse, but Amarillo doesn't flood. We hardly get rain. It hasn't flooded here since 1984 or so.

    Need some help guys.

I put two new 4wd actuators on the truck today, on the Tcase and front diff. Both from 1AAuto.com.

    Damn light still blinks!

So here’s where we’re at: Tcase actuator is doing it’s job, when button is pressed it shifts right away and the front driveshaft is connected.

However, the front wheels still won’t engage. The motor sounds like it’s doing something, and I’ve hit it with a hammer, driven forwards, backwards, high speed, low speed, turned it on and off a million times, etc. Nothing.

What else can I do? I need to get out my stethoscope tomorrow but I’m pretty certain that the motor is receiving power and is at least trying to shift it. Could it just be really really stuck? It’s been probably 7 or 8 years since 4wd has worked.

Just keep trying it. Did you manually put your T-case into neutral when you replaced the rear actuator?

These trucks like OEM or equivalent. The 4WD computer could be seeing a weird sine wave signal instead of what it's expecting (from OEM)

I’ve tried it 30 or 40 times at this point. I’ll keep at it but I’m just not sure exactly how it’ll free it up if it hasn’t already.

And you’re right, OEM is definitely best, but I’ve ordered TRQ parts from 1AAuto.com before and found them to be put together much better than other non-OEM parts. Definitely still not like OEM, but I guess I would’ve thought they would work at least once…

So failure happens on the 2005/2006 DCs as well? I thought DC LBJs were beefier than ACs and that's OEM. Wow.

Even though they're beefier, they're still under tension and prone to failure. I'm guessing those LBJs had 200k miles on them since they were put on in 2007. No way I'd trust mine that long.

Mine haven't lasted more than 100k miles before I get some play and they need replacement. Probably the same for the DCs as well I imagine.
