Had one in my belly button at scout camp at 7 years old. Pops helped me get it out. I had dropped trow so he could help me look for more just in case. Scout master poked his head into the tent and seen my bare ass, and dad kneeled down in front of me with a flashlight and tweezers (Innie) he promptly turned around and left. A legit accident.

They look decent and worthy.... for a set of clamps. Clamps are made for those that stay on pavement and/or are unwilling to drill holes in their bedrails. From personal experience, I will never never again carry a shell/topper without fastening it to my bedrails with a minimum of 6 thru-bolts, fender washers, and nylock nuts. Ever. Again. If I ever broke my own rules and used clamps, there would be red loc-tite, and daily inspections required. I'll just say; it was a close call. Thanx @Sunnier
And how in the fawk is that my fault??
I never realized how many 1st gens were in my area, until I bought one, then suddenly I noticed they were everywhere.

Ooh, tempting. That L6 is a winner. Only needs like 3 wires to run. HEI ignition upgrade solves most of the problems modern folks find with starting, since nobody these days knows how to deal with points. Almost wanting to ask what you’re looking for it.

Flush old gas. Pull plugs and out a few drops of MMO in each cylinder for a few days. Pull the fuel line off the pump and put it in a coffee can on the ground with fresh gas. Turn it over and let it burn through the can.

Bro, early trip to Rodman reservoir when I was a kid. I was climbing trees with my older bro, got home, had no less than 15 of those fuckers on my sac. Mom had to pick every last one off with tweezers.

I doubt this bastard was attached long enough to transmit anything, but it was an eye opener for sure. What little bastards man. I hate ticks, for real.

I had a full nest of seed ticks climbing up my left leg on the inside of the ankle. It scared the shit out of 8 year old me. Like hundreds of these fucking things. Anyways, I ran inside and got pops. He doused my leg with gasoline and dawn. Good times. Straight to the shower with me.

Also, I had one latch onto my sack one time and I swear to God little 12 year old me thought that fucker had embedded itself right into a teste. I was so fucking nervous to pull that dude off. I thought I was gonna a nard straight through my sack

Yup. It’s the little ones that scare the hell outta me. My eyes ain’t so good anymore, I can’t see the little fuckers. And I don’t smoke anymore, so there’s no red hot cherry I can lay on their heads to get ‘em to detach forcibly anymore. I used a blow dryer to get this bastard to let loose, and about burnt my face.

Traveling, so don’t have my iron handy. :(

Which reminds me, if anyone needs an iron, I’m gonna have a couple available soon I can spare at the cost of shipping. One is basic but functional and barely used, had to buy in a pinch while my good adjustable temp was in storage. The another with a stand, but can’t recall brand.

Well it was today, which is now yesterday. Friday June 2nd release date
If you like Rancid, then you'll appreciate it. They're one of the solid bands that have always stayed true to their roots and original sound IMO

Yeah but they can't all be hits. Rancid might be the exception though.
Something special about a band that popular refusing to sign to major label

Well when you've got your own label, then there's no need. Hellcat Records is owned by Tim Armstrong if I'm not mistaken

    Pretty sure you are correct.

Rancid, NoFX and Bad Religion are the exceptions to the rules lol

Could have gone the route of Green Day, Sublime, etc... But they stuck to their guns.
Now that I'm older I don't blame bands for selling out. But I really respect the ones that could have and didn't.

And... Hellcat is more or less a major label by today's standards.

Definitely on the large side of the indie label coin with Epitaph and SST. Maybe Alternative Tentacles

Got the car back together… man, what a struggle!

Turns out, it’s a 1973 model not a 1974 like I was told. It was built in November of ‘73 but likely originally sold as a ‘74.

That’s fine, as the 73 and 74 models were the same except for just a few different things: crankshaft diameter and piston stroke length. Since I was under the impression that it was a 74, I ended up purchasing the wrong bearings, and I eventually ended up with three sets of bearings before I got the right ones. Great.

    9879D15E-D71F-406C-9E8C-68ABEE54B5B4.jpg

Putting the bearings back into the engine was also a struggle. The inside of that engine must be sharper than most knives! I cut my hands in about a thousand places.

That said, it’s back together and running great. I’m gonna drive it around for a couple hundred miles at low revs, then change the oil. I’ve already done a hundred or so, but man is it hard to not rev the thing out!

Sometimes i just grin & seal clap for myself. Unload the basket, then flip it for a step. Basket wont hold much without interfering with the tailgate, and thats kinda necessary because of polo.

As you are now somewhat older, suggest you consider rubbing some of this on them there ticks and drinking rest....no shower needed. It has other medicinal purposes, so I've heard.

I think i'm on the right track, with the basket beer & ice cooler being in the rear basket, and the food cooler being seperate to keep it closed & hold the cold in.
Anywho. I dont want anyone close to my truck on a stripper pole. If i have a stripper pole it'll be adjustable & free standing.

Here is an interesting challenge. Drive home in one of my three trucks with a RCLB 2G Tacoma shell and Ducati desert sled. By the numbers I’m short 10” or so. Build platforms on side and back and somehow strap things down? Sideways w the Tundra still comes out to 62” of 96 leaving insufficient space for the bike.

Trailer seems the only option and would cost + limit speed.

That’s the plan. It’s already been “upgraded” to HEI at some point. Wish I could hire you for a day and fly you out, ha. No air cleaner on it and carb (Rochester Monojet) was wide open for goshness knows how long—mud daubers were certainly grateful as you can see here:
