Saw this tonight. Some of y’all know but I’ve got a sweet spot for C10s, especially anything from the 60s… awesome patina and love the stance with those whitewall Cokers

My truck has a 3.91 LSD rear from the factory. I just found a guy who has a 3.91 (3rd unit/carrier assy) for sale at a good price, apparently after upgrading to a different ratio. I don't really need one (yet) at 240,000 mi, but I'm willing to buy it to have when I need it. Here's the thing...it's from a 2005 DC. Does anyone know if this will fit my truck? The parts system doesn't seem to specify a p/n for the complete carrier assy.

I have no clue. You might be able to find a p/n for the ring gear from both and compare that way?

It'd "probably" fit. Most aftermarket companies don't specify what cab style, right?

Rockauto specifies body type on rear axleshafts. No DC shafts available to compare, but said the AC/RC is 30 spline.

    carrier doesnt specify body type.

While in that rabbit hole, it looks like the factory lsd might be rebuildable.

mine has been extra chirpy with the cap on it. Wonder if i should hunt down a rear sway bar...

And my 2004 calls for the same (according to Rock Auto), so that's a favorable indication.

Anyone running a truck cap use these 'stronger' clamps? They look like they should fit.

So I went to the beer store to get some yangyangs a second ago. Lady asks me, "so is that a family name?" I'm like wtf? Then I look down.

It's been raining non-stop for almost 2 weeks. We've actually been flooding in multiple places. It's gonna be raining all next week too. We haven't even hit 90 this year.

Talk me out of buying plane tickets to New Zealand in March.

Delta is having a sale and using miles it basically ends up being $1000 for 2 tickets from Detroit to Auckland.

    https://www.tundras.com/threads/seen-in-l-a-saturday-5-27-23.125410

The fam thought I was nuts for turning around to take a pic but I KNEW I saw someone post RCLB trucks from that damn landscape company recently!! Too bad it was a diff't company.

I hear it's never the fuel filter, but I changed it anyway. Works on Fords and Chebbys.

It's such an unusual thing on the Atlantic coast, I dunno. I do see a lot of 1GT work trucks but they're literally every-damn-where here. At every turn. It's boggling my mind. Herds of Toyota everywhere. I can't tell you how unusual that is, I'm having trouble wrapping my head around it

I also saw these wheels I liked which were the color I kinda wanted, on a J**p. Curious what make/model/color these are.

And we barely avoided death today, hiking near boner-infested waters. The youngest kid was being an asshole, and I told him the ticks would get him if he kept acting like that. He freaked out when he actually found two separate ticks on him when we got back into the car after ~4-5 miles around and up thru the trail.

If you ever bring your truck to get fixed because for some reason you’re unable to do it yourself, it will ALWAYS be the fuel filter and if you don’t believe them, they’ll make you a believer once they break it. I speak from experience.

Different gen, but this is my ‘73 inline 6 250 3-speed that came with some property my in-laws bought. Literally a barn find as you can see this pic of when I first got it. Summer goal is to get it running enough for a feller to Vice Grip Garage that shit home to really go over her.
