A Raptor Ranger will have better resale value initially for the two trucks due to its limited availability. Each are most likely to be outrageously priced at or above MSRP.

Maybe. The TRD Pro Tacoma's also hold their value extremely well. They will be hard to get for a while too.

    Yep.

The sad thing is the new Tacoma, riding on the same platform as Tundra, will likely have the newer 6 lug setup and the wheels won’t fit our rigs.

That'll sell at or even more than a Raptor Ranger and probably won't be available till 2025.

Someone is bound to come up with spacers with a 106mm inboard hub bore and a ?98mm? Wheel hub bore. But if they dont have 16's i dont see the point.

If down the road, you decide you need bigger brakes, you will want bigger than 16's. I made that mistake with 16's myself.

On the other hand, if you like more sidewall (me), you'll want 16's. I'm content with my braking capability now (not the e-brake), but there's still some room improvement.

There's a six piston big brake upgrade that can fit 16's. SOSPerformance has a template to check if it'll fit your wheels. There's a Google Docs link on the listing: https://sosperformance.com/products...-brake-kit-fits-17-plus-wheels-2005-21-tacoma

If you're running a custom spacer like that, you can run any wheel you want. 4 lug, 8 lug, etc. Having a bolt up option from another gen or model is a nice plus.

if someone needs more brakes than i've got, they wont get it. I'm not gonna slam my brakes either (except for animals), at least while i have airbags. I follow with enough distance.

I made a video. It didn't turn out great, but neither does anything else I do so ehh.

Fun fact: if I don't have the windows down I can't turn it up all the way. It cuts out the amp.

Whatcha got in some double bass drum metal or blues?

    https://youtu.be/2GE7LMbOyz4
Does the bass drum fit the window the amp is set to or whatever? The 3 15's in my buddies integra hit with the bass drums, but i dont remember him ever playing rap kinda bass.

theres a killswitch engage song with a one word title that hits on 15's. Sorry, got distraced and forgot the name.

Damn, I know meth abuse is rampant in KY, but I didn't think it'd get you next

That thing has more bulge than a Chippendales dancer.

Is the HPF on the amp set at a level that it just basically lets the mids fill in for the higher bass notes at 41-43 secs in your video or is it just because phones take shitty bass vids. Sounds like it hits some low 3-digit notes around 41s, and it's 80% quieter than the others before/after.

Actually, I misunderstood your angel chorus comment. You're talking about the reverse sound.

What I'm suffering from is the damn EPB on our 2021 Highlander hybrid. It makes a gaggle of noise, way more than our Camry hybrid ever did. I hear you can just lube the EPB pad shims to kill the noise, and meant to ask @empty_lord if he knew of any TSBs currently on it, since I'm close to hitting the end of my 3 years of warranty (I think). Mine is easily twice as loud as this:

It sounds like shit once I move into direct line of the ports. It doesn't sound like that in the truck. I played it on my sub at home and it sounds like ass too. Too much for the mic to handle I guess. The song is lucid dreams by juice wrld.

I thought all the big brake kits required 17's. I'm actually content with my brakes now that I finally got the rears dialed in. But sidewalls won't be a problem once I'm on 35's, however braking probably will be, especially if I get a camper to tow.
