Who knows how dealers pro rate batteries? Moms '16 infiniti is about due for a battery, and the end of the 84 month warranty is in may. It says 24 month free replacement, and is pro-rata after that. Anyone here know what percentage of a discount they'll give her, or should i just get the walmart special and plan to change it every 3 years or whatever?

I doubt they will give her very much at all. For what it's worth, Project Farm tested batteries and the one from Wal-Mart did really well.

My Interstate battery is 4 years old and still working fine. The battery in the Rav is 4.5 years old. It came from AutoZone or Advance.

I always hate directional wheels. They're only going the correct way on one side of the car.

Huge pet peeve of my with 80s/90s F-Bodies where people would run these:

Not at all, the bed cover does not raise. The rack is bolted through the cover into the bed rail.

I ran the same costco battery for 10 years. (Just returned/swapped it in the parking lot it before the 3 year warranty expired) - So 3 batteries over ten years.

Every “custom truck” had those top “sawblade” wheels or these “hammers”.

Does not raise? You don't have the drawer, or do you? I'm confused. Don't think I've ever seen anyone with a tonneau cover that didn't open.

Received my projectors from China slow boat. Bummed that the DRL halo lights don't seem to be working as advertised. Big surprise. LOL. I got 2 sets. One set is threaded shaft for easy peasy install and the other is frame mount. The frame mount is brighter but the threaded shaft mount is just so easy peasy to install. I'll probably jerry rig something onto the frame mount projectors later on to use in.....something. Meh.

Drawers weigh too much. There was a time where I thought I could put a rack on the top and also keep it opening. I found out real quick what a bad idea that was. I would’ve torn the top off by now. This new build is to give me even more strength. like you said it’s pretty violent back there. but I like the waterproof aspect so I have a basket I pull out and a push pull rod.

You can't talk about 90s wheels without mentioning the 3 spoked Primes. Every v6 f-body and ford probe had em.

My first post on the WHYD page was Oct 2 2018. It was on page 44. 44 pages in 4 years. 5 years later it's on 1583. This page went 1500 in a little over 3. That's a lot of BSing.

    YES.

Yup! Deep dish hammers were especially popular in the SE on box GMs (Caprice classic, box Impala, box Parisienne, Grand Safari, etc.). I liked American Racing's version of the Hammer better, though. Spectrum had a nice one too.

Ford Probe. 1st thing I thought of. But also popular on Ford Escorts, the early-mid 90s body style. Which also looked really good with smaller, deep dished 'roller skate' wheels.

I'm lucky to find any used these days at less than $60 mounted and installed. Before the pando hit, I was easily able to score half-tread used tires installed $35. I dunno wtf happened, but it's painful buying tires at this point.

Tried a salvage yard? Places here will usually let a single tire go pretty cheap.

If you only need a tire, go around back of a tire shop and hit up one of the techs. They usually will have a pile of take-offs and give you one for cheap if not free, even if they don't advertise selling used tires. Or just go afterhours and grab one. Don't mind the fence, it's to keep the tires in, not to keep you out.
