My daughter used to ride her bike barefoot when she was little. I warned her, she resisted, I said go for it. She skinned her feet all up. I was like, if only this could have been prevented....

I mainly/usually make them wear shoes out front by the garage because I do a lot of metal cutting and don’t want them stepping on something sharp out there.

When i was 5-6 or so my dad and grandpa mounted some cast zinc 1/18 scale nascar bodies to roller skate chassis's, and if you leaned em they turned on their own, but not enough for indoors. I drew a racetrack on my driveway with chalk, and was left on my own playing with the neighbor kids and their babysitter. My first full tilt lap, i'm pushing and steering both racecars, and a step in the concrete stopped both racecars and my hands, sent the rest of me at full speed across concrete. Ever since then i've never had to endure the italian nose jokes. But i learned my lesson.

I did a full tilt ass over tea kettle on my 10 speed bike as a teenager the week before my sophomore year. Front tire caught the curb funny, twisted 90 degrees and sent me flying forward. Except the brake cables caught both my hands, so I was flying face first into the concrete. Hockey stick shaped abrasion on my face from forehead to chin. Had a concussion, chipped a tooth and likely broke my nose. Fun times.

I did floor demo barefoot as well as moving the washer and dryer out via dolly after removing two doors. My wife looked on with disgust.

I did this just last year; some may have seen my toe pic, I was riding down this sweet hill in a gorilla cart(big wagon) with my son sitting behind me. Hahah got a little to much speed at the bottom and tried to gently put my foot down(in flops) to slowly stop, didn’t exactly go as planned, my flop caught and flipped behind my toes, and my second toe did all the stopping. It’s barely a normal nail even today.

we have this awesome store here that would make radio shack blush, and I took him in there a few weekends ago, he was in heaven!!!! Dad what’s this? Dad you have one of these?! He also worked his charm on the ladies at the hardware store:)

Ugh! Made my stomach me hurt, reading this. I was peddling hard on a 10-speed when I was 15 or 16. On a 2 lane highway in snow country, so the asphalt was really rough with a lot of rocks and pebbles mixed in for road traction. My foot slipped off the peddle on a down stroke at probably ~40 mph, and I came to a sudden rolled-over-the-handlebars stop. On my face. On that asphalt.

I'm not sure if anyone stopped a car, because I was in shock, but I didn't get run over, so some must've. I remember getting to the barbed wire at the side of the road and couldn't get through it. A neighbor from a nearby home appeared and told me to give him the bike, which is when I looked down and realized I had dragged it with me and that was why I was having trouble crawling through the fence. Next thing, as he helped me clean up, was me trying to get going because I couldn't be late to work. I don't remember details from that point, except that he kept me there and my mom showed up. I don't know if I told him how to reach her, or if someone driving by saw and called. Shock does weird things to reasoning.

I still have scars on the knuckles of both hands and a small one between my nose and upper lip. Brutal, but luckily, only on the outside.

I guess this isn't really on topic apart from your post. Back then it wasn't unusual to ride without a helmet, and no one had toe holders on bicycle pedals.

Many, many, many years ago when I was a kid we used to also ride barefoot. We also played a game where we would pick each other up at the mailbox like a taxi and ride them around on the handlebars. Well, my younger brother ended up sticking his foot in the front spokes causing me to crash and partially cutting off one of his toes.

They sewed it back on at the hospital.

Picked these doors, and a not pictured tailgate up for @Tundra2 today. Was only about 10 minutes from the house.

Doors are really easy to pull off, harnesses as well. Makes me want to go jeep mode with my truck.

Doors are pretty solid. Little bit of rust in the bottom edge. Door checks aren't blown out so that's good.

The guy I bought from is rebuilding an 03 access cab. Said he couldn't get the radio working and couldn't find the right harness. Turned out to be the typical radio not mounted so it won't turn on thing, and pointed him in the direction of the Amp behind the HVAC controls so that he could remove it. Invited him to join us here. We'll see if he shows.

The parts truck appeared to be what I believe is called moon mist but only the dash and carpet had the different coloring. Snapped a pic but the color didn't really come through like it did in person looks more like regular Grey in the pic. Neat looking color though.

What part does he need in that color? I was thinking someone was looking for something in moon mist.

It's not. It's a bluer color. Not sure the name.

Actually @Sunnier it looks like I'll be in your neck of the woods, moving back to SD (was there from 13-16) wife and kids will be staying at my mother in laws in Riverside until we get through housing waitlist. Just don't want to pull the trigger on a project if I don't have a place to store it for the time being lol.

You're the man and I appreciate this post

I'd really like a clean dashboard panel in moon mist. Mine has gorilla glue on it. But I'd take any good condition moon mist interior trim parts you can harvest really since the dash piece is the hardest and the biggest. I could pay for your time and of course shipping and item costs.

Any chance of a passenger airbag in there?
