Does it still say Made in USA even though it's made in Taiwan? I'm guessing the pic is probably from the 1990s on the Napa site.

From the packaging actually, lol. Balkamp is the manufacturer which is a NAPA subsidiary. Haven't had a need to open the one I bought, NAPA buddy offered me a discount on it I couldn't refuse.

    @Sunnier

This is gaudy and I'd never in a million years want to see this in real life, but when I saw this, I thought 'Hulk'.

I never figured I'd get any hate for it, just made me laugh thinking about the "stereotype" American.

I've been a lot of places in the US, this will be the first outside of North America. I'm never going to be the "well in the US we do it this way" guy.

My current anxiety is how not to look like an idiot figuring out the Underground and whether or not I should tip the driver for our private tour.

Yep, that's all I meant. I've been to England many times over the last 15 years, always got a warm welcome, no problems being an American; people'll want to hear your accept. I stand by my post though, wearing large design T-shirts in all but a very few enclaves will make you stand out as an American tourist before you start talking.

Everyone in London is trying to figure out the Underground but then again, at least a good 30-40% of people in London aren't from London either, similar to Paris.

And if you ride the tube everywhere during the day, be prepared to blow black snot out at night. It was crazy to me how much was coming out of my nose.

Brexit has a lot of things in shambles over there, when we were there pre-Brxit, it was a 1-2 quid for private car if 3-4 bags, or 1 quid if standard taxi/black car. Restaurants 10-12% depending on service. I know it's cliche, but hit a few fish & chips places, ask around.

Definitely agree with this sentiment. And I know you have more experience than I do on this one, you've been there far more than me. Someone will totally gut-check you for non-local if it's some gaudy T-shirt, especially one with an American flag on it, but I feel like there are exceptions to the rule for pop culture and/or vintage pop culture things, namely anything music related. As much as I'm sure it pisses my parents off, T-shirts are popular now.

Now, if it was a Vineyard Vines shirt, or some of the dumb graphic-heavy political/patriot BS shirts you see people rocking over here to look cool (?), 100%, absolutely, you'll get pegged immediately for an American. Music shirts ... in an English speaking place, inside the city that's home to famous historical rock music studios like Abbey Road and Wembley where huge artists recorded the music that still gets radio airplay today, in a country that's home to Led Zep, the Stones, Beatles, The Who, etc. ... I think you can remain low key with a Skynyrd shirt... :D

Maybe I stated myself wrong. I’ve been to Europe only 3 times in the past 8 years but I was more meaning that there are some young American clowns that give us a bad name over there. The French really were assholes (most of them) when we visited but if you tell ‘em you’re from Canada their tone changes lol. I just wouldn’t wear anything so USA proud while abroad that’s all.

the Italians on the other hand were super nice people. Even elderly ladies were trying to give up their subway seat for me since I had our 14mo old girl in a carrier on my chest.

Also, @Tundra2 you need a good waxing session! Hahaha

This was very true for me in Paris. But everyone I've mentioned it to in/from France basically says to ignore it, b/cthe majority of people in Paris aren't from Paris, they're entitled, stuck up, transplant assholes. Basically one of those "Don't judge all of France based on the shitheads you run into here, the Parisians don't want it this way".

I believe it. I haven't found it remotely similar in the other spots I've been, and it's a laundry list: Lyon, Le Havre, Rouen, Caen, Versailles, Rennes (well, maybe a smidge), and all over Provence -- Marseilles, Aix, Avignon, Gordes, Rousillon, St. Remy, Nice, Cannes, St. Tropez. If I could recommend someone to go anywhere, visit Lyon and maybe Aix if you prefer a little slower pace, but Lyon is - to me - the epitome of urban French life. Lots of kickass Roman ruins, too, and killer food.

The thing that pisses me off about Paris is this ... and I've confirmed this w/friends who are 100% conversationally fluent in French: With a lot of people you run into there, if you start with English 1st, they're a dick to you, like you're inconveniencing them. If you open with French, a lot will act like they can't understand a damn thing you said, no matter how fluent you are, no matter how great your accent is, and they immediately switch to English. It's an intimidation thing, they want to put you off. My employer is based on the French side of Switzerland. I can get by with French. In Paris, while speaking French, I get treated like I'm speaking Urdu or something. Everywhere else? No problem!

Oh, it helps to avoid touristy spots during season too. Like Cote d'Azur, a lot of people were total dicks b/c of the partygoer tourists. They're out, late night, drunk/high/pissing/barfing/shitting in the streets, screaming and hollering. It's a euro/eastern bloc party spot. The locals try to be nice and give you the benefit of the doubt, like the old dudes playing Bocce on the beach were cool with us, but it helps to speak a tiny bit of French to show you're not an entitled prick who's there to party.

At the end of the day, it's like ... is it fair to judge all Americans based on people you bump into in Manhattan NY, Long Island NY or Seaside Heights NJ? When I visit my family in Monroe LA, I can sure as hell tell you: They're nothing like any of those. Way more down to earth. Way less of an asshole.

Ha! I basically spent my summers as a kid on my grandfather's 40 basically West Monroe, west side of lake Cheniere. He'd always drag us out fishing at the spillway off 3033. He passed about 15 years back, but still have a lot of family who live in/around the area.

Last reco I saw from @assassin10000 was basically this:

    -0.1 to -0.3 camber
    2.6 to 2.8 caster
    0.1 to 0.2 total toe-in

Aim closer to Camber -0.1 if mostly freeway driven.
If you like corners/onramps at-speed aim for -0.3 to offset outside edge tire wear somewhat.
    Ideal total toe-in 0.15 - 0.20

Looping back to you two. After ~5oz of Trans-X, I think I've gotten my LSD chatter 90% gone. Still, I'd prefer zero chatter.

I wanted to ask you both - you each ....

    - Have LSD out back in your truck?
    - Used straight Lucas 80w90, no additive?
    - Get no chatter whatsoever after?

I clearly have a touch of seep-by on my drain bolt, even after re-torquing, I probably should've installed new crush washers back there. If you're "yes" on all three of those Q's, I'm going to keep my eyes peeled for the next $9-10/bottle deal I can find on dino 80w90 and just swallow my pride on this one. And take the opp to install new crush washers.

Hahaha damn hindsight or whatever her name is!!!!
I have a factory mechanical LSD, I run the higher……….. number viscosity one due to my climate from Lucas(Dino) but I can’t remember if I added an additive on top or not, either way zero chatter compared to when I had issues with the valvoline

the change before I had run redline 80/90 and put a slip modification fluid in, had no issues at all, changed it way early because I had dunked the diff deep multiple times for 5 mins or so each(boat launching and the water level was low, so I dipped into a drop off trying to get the boat in/out)
