Mended. No solder. Bigger Magnet. Red heat shrink so as not to reverse them again....
    20230219_204942.jpg

On the far left, 220V @80 amps. Middle, 220 @100 amps. Far right. 120 @160 amps.
    20230219_210215.jpg

Could just be me, but I was struggling to achieve, and maintain ARC on 120. No matter the amp setting..once I finally struck an ARC and kept it, I just walked the dude up the plate. I think this is all 1/8" steel? Maybe 3/16" max.

All done with a Non-dried 1/8" 7018 rod. We don't have a dryer for our rods because we weld so infrequently with stick here.

The 220v 100a bead is butter. That 120 is uh, a good candidate for a grinder. Not sure how well it’s penetrating. May be limited use if only 120 is available.

The 120 "bead" is absolute trash. I'm not sure what it's called, but when your weld erupts in a sparkler effect, it's not good penetration. Anytime I got the ARC to strike for just a second, and I would try to walk it out it would die out, and then erupt in the sparkler. Definitely no penetration.

Oh, regarding the limited use... I believe out generator has a 220 plug. Kinda defeats the purpose for me, but it does work, and I may sell this welder here for someone's home use.

Edit: I'll definitely play around with this on some scrap steel or whatever in my off time. Probably not in the tent though. That'd kill me. Anyways, I'll give it more than a rushed shot at work after watching a few YT videos.

Sucked it up and bought oem rear drums for the tundra. Had my local shop use ‘premium’ raybestos drums and they are so outta spec. Applying the brakes makes the truck gallop to a stop. Such shit.
Should be simple enough to swap drums without any issues or adjustments I’d think since I’ve only put less than 2,000 miles on it

I think with my double airbag issue I may never reinstall my scangauge but $50 is a good price. The spiker mount is great. Pretty easy install. Hardest part is the torx to remove the OEM grab handle fastener.

I went into Harbor Freight today to see if they could get their hands on the winch that is marked down. No luck. I was willing to buy a bigger more expensive one but the dimensions listed online are taller than the space allowed in my Brute Force bumper. Curious how people are getting around that issue. The 20% off deal ends today.

Negative. It won't even let me add it to my cart. I know people are running bigger winches with my bumper. They must be relocating the control box?

The winch I was trying to buy is on closeout and only for purchase in person. It's not available within 100 miles. I can't order it online sadly.

Well that sucks. Every store in my area is reporting them in stock. That’s like 10 stores within 50 miles. Probably one of the few benefits to living in New England.

My 1/2" impact went from being evaluated to being shipped back to me with no word per the milwaukee service tab tracker thing on their website. No confirmation email saying it was fixed, or not. Just an email saying it was shipped back?

I sent them a reply in hopes of an answer and an explanation of what was wrong if they fixed it

So, given this is the second time I’ve had airbag problems, what should I do?

f it, install new wheel w audio controls and new airbag and new clockspring and see what happens?

attempt to replace all the airbag parts with 05-06 dual stage? Probably a massive effort?

Or unplug the SRS module and ignore the light, maybe pull the bulb?

suck it up and troubleshoot like a normal person

Seems hard to image a situation where 20 year old airbags would be a difference maker. Hmmm.

Pull the airbag light and get a respectable quick release steering wheel.

    Murphys law Monday misery.

Cracked my new phones screen when I got hit in the head with a bundle of 10' long 3/4" all thread. Smooshered a finger in the same accident.

    Burnt the clutch/gearbox out of a buddy's drill... fubar'd

Hit my fucking head again in a scissor lift. Seeing stars mate.
