someone needs to polish this. And make some 2" spacers (or however long the hood will allow) to lengthen the runners even longer.

Don't get me wrong, I love Ducatis. They're gorgeous. I just can't justify that price tag. The panigale super secret mega awesome model is like $43k. That's insane for a 400lb machine that's susceptible to being dropped just cause you forgot to put the kickstand down. Plus, servicing those desmos, I don't even wanna think about that cost. I'm kinda screwed if my bike fucks up. There's no "exotic" dealers or bike mechanics in this area. I'd have to trailer it to OKC or mangle it myself.

Hey folks, mind help me out with a question? (I'm pretty new here, so please bear with me.) I've decided to swap out the muffler on my truck. I can get the details, but I'm pretty sure it's a fairly new magnaflow. Is that anything that someone one here might want? Should I keep the old muffler and post it on here for free? Is it worth the trouble? Thanks for any input!

    Yeah, zactly.
My last bike was a CB600F which I got after I passed on a Monster. The Monster looked massively cooler but I didn’t have a clue how I was going to keep it maintained. The Honda still needed plenty of work and dropoff / pickup was a pain (pre rideshare days and I didn’t have a trailer)

I think I’d go naked Honda or Yamaha next time as well. If I get a next time. Weather up here isn’t great for that.

If you can confirm what muffler it is, it’s will be more “valued”, but yes, my opinion is, you should always offer any castoffs before trashing.

That said, no one answers threads for “items” when you don’t indicate what (general) part of the country you’re in; adding it to your profile will increase members’ response to future posts.

And, for free stuff for 1st gens, Craigslist and OfferUp will get best response (again, the convenient local).

Thanks for the input. I'll get some details.

And I guess I have some comments to make before I can offer here (ie, get to 50 posts).

My titan has a magnaflow, and its louder than i'd like. But doesnt bug me enough to do anything about it. Sounds pretty good at full throttle, but the loud bark at startup is a bit excessive.

    what'd you replace it with?

prolly cuz the power to weight on those things is such that it doesn't make a difference until you have some gearing.

Its nice having a bike with torque. The zx6r had to wail all the time. Didnt come alive until like 9k. The buell reacts to the throttle anywhere from 2-7k, then tapers off.

What's pushing me over the edge (to replace it) is how loud it is while cruising. If it was just getting up to speed, that'd be one thing, but it's so loud all the time. To the point where my wife doesn't like driving it, and I have to crank the stereo to hear it.

I told the guy at the shop I wanted the quietest exhaust I could get and he suggested the stock one, haha. You have any other suggestions? Not doing the work until Tuesday.

Happy Wife, Happy Life….stick with stock.

Have enjoyed my Flowmaster but will be going back to stock due to drone @55 ish. Reached age where vroom vroom doesn’t mean that much and Mz Bubba would be happy if drone wasn’t there

Yep! She loves the truck otherwise. It's so comfortable, it's like driving in a recliner.

And now that you mention it, it might be a flowmaster, not magnaflow. Either way, it's constant loud and I'm officially grumpy old man about it

My first gen is quiet but sounds nice and throaty if I floor it. 2.5 on ther hand is much louder. I’d suggest return to stock

That's the plan for Tuesday. So hopefully I'll be able to listen to the stereo at normal human being levels.

Got this 4 wheeler (Polaris Hawkeye 300) last year around August from my grandparents. Unfortunately time will take good health away from people and my papaw (grandpa) has gotten dementia over the past couple years and just can't do much anymore.
    20230127_194344.jpg

Was used for hunting and other general outdoor stuff since they bought it new in 07 but it had sat a few years. All it needed was an oil change and it's been good, but it's unfortunately 2wd so I figured I'd be better off with a little better/taller tire than stock to get around. Went with these Chinese Sun-F tires (24 inch). They seem good for the money, worth a shot anyway.

I don't really have a need for a 4wheeler but it's nice to take out to the "in-laws" land and putt around on with the dog in tow.

While it was was supposed to just be a rim removal and tire swap I found out it needed front upper coil spring isolator bushings as they were crumbling apart.
    20230127_185841.jpg

Got the front struts pulled apart which was easy as the springs are light enough to compress by hand, and replaced the bushings. Should be good for a while now.

I went to Windrock today. What a blast. I was able to do 22 miles and still had 37% of battery left. I just severely misjudged how muddy I would get. :D

This bike goes over rocks like a mountain bike and climbs hills like a dirt bike. I just need a riding buddy!

wtf! we had bad pack rats here when we moved in. a lot of drownings, nest removal, and a cat later and we only see one once or so in many months when rosa leaves a carcass on the porch.

Re-ordered the Mid-Torque M18 impact online from Home Depot since the one I had was defective and they didn't have a replacement in the store.

They gave me $150 off for having to order it twice along with the protective boot due to my troubles! Total $139. A very good day. :)

On the rodent front, if y’all remember the woodshed, all that OG firewood we’ve mostly burned through was under the deck when we moved in. So there was definite mouse activity there and under cabinets. One spot up high detected so far, I can send photos of the walls with drywall off.

I think they went loco with the poison while in escrow. Pretty sure they are all gone by now.

we also ripped all the insulation from the floor and instead insulated the crawlspace foundation walls. So the crawlspace is more of a stable zone than an outdoor free for all.

we will seal the subfloor and all the cracks as we do the build. It’ll be nice. Just the mouse pee stink but oh well.

Hopefully “crazy” with the poison doesn’t translate to dead mice in the walls that could decompose and stink up the place, @daveeasa. Good luck.
