:( I’m sad for you, Noah. It always hurts to lose them. Even the fuckheads.

    Who's Niko? Your cat?

My first thought was Steven Seagal who played the character named Nico. I almost smiled.

I think I might change my bolts out and put some blue loctite on them.

I went for a cold ride earlier. This thing has cured my desire to get a real motorcycle. I don't know how you all feel safe on public roads. I've already had people pull out in front of me and ride my ass when I'm trying to make a turn. It doesn't seem worth the risk.

I need to put my hitch hauler to use and hit up some real trails soon.

Feeling 'safe' isnt really an option. Just gotta know what everyone in a 500ft radius is thinking and doing, and plan to be doing in the near future.

most of em just cant see you, or are looking at their phones, but nothing is an accident, treat em like they were trying to kill you. They chose to ignore their surroundings.

Problem is, you can’t avoid them all. I agree, the roads are so much worse now on a bike. Ive been off for about 2 years now. Loved the streets but it ain’t worth ending up in the morgue or worse a hospital.

Yea, i dont ride in big cities very often anymore, mainly backroads, and get out in front of traffic as soon as possible, so im not riding in the middle of a group of idiots.

There’s definitely a sacrifice to having a shell. I’ve got a system of removal, but it’s not ideal. I back up to a garage with a flat roof, and manhandle it up onto the roof. It’s sketchy every time I do it, mostly cuz I do it alone. But without one, I don’t trust leaving my tools in the bed, not even in front of my house. Before I had the shell, I’d load and unload tools everyday, and that’s shitty as well. Shells, toppers, whatever you call em, are a bittersweet addition for sure.
^he knows. I’ll add; the overall consequences of an accident are incomparable between auto and moto. People get in fender benders all day in cars/trucks and say “oh well, that’s what insurance is for”. There’s no such thing as a fender bender on a moto. With any accident involving a motorcycle, 99% of the time also involves an ambulance. ‘Keep yer head on a swivel and remember, everybody is trying to kill you’.
Hospital is worse than a morgue??

Potentially yes. I know a guy who is now paralyzed from a motorcycle accident. I'd rather die than be paralyzed from the neck down.

i know the other guy was asking about an '04, but why would there be a difference in capacity for 2wd and 4wd, are the axle housings different? Pinions different?

I cant imagine why they would do this. What is the .007:1 difference going to get them? That doesnt even cover the difference between the 245's and 265's.

I gather there are numerous “small” differences between ‘03 and ‘04. The trucks are fairly different as a result.

yea, but that was just '00-'03 2wd vs 4wd. Since the 4wd holds less fluid, theres probably more meat on the gears, but seems like a dick move to make the 2wds barely weaker.

Anyone else ever let out an audible 'WOO!!' After something hairy? Like a car pulling out in front of you, or dropping something heavy and missing your feet...mines kinds like a short ric flair 'woo', but i borrowed a helmet with a headset, and one of the harley guys leaned a little too far and scraped, and keyed in a 'Woooooooo!' Like he was a college girl flashing her boobs at mtv on spring break. Funniest shit ever.
