Got an email from Skid Row. Looks like they are running a sale on Cyber Monday for our trucks. Sale doesn't appear active yet. Not sure if the 1stgen10 code will work with it too

Slightly tempted to order new door latches with the discounts. Not sure. But tempted.

Actually, while I ponder, someone else already replaced seatbelt latches, yes? Or is it maybe only the driver seat which has a latch bolted down and the bench is integrated?

Looks like I found stuff in Oak but not moon mist. 732300C030E1

I think you can replace just the seat belt latch on the driver's side. Passengers that's a little harder to do....

I need to replace the female part of the buckle. And something is up with the seat sensors because my selt belt light will flash randomly. I don't think it's a safety concern so I've put it way down the priority list.

I did find this just now. Not sure why I would need a cock plug though.:monocle:

Hey, follow up if you figure out what’s making your seatbelt light flash, mine’s been doing it a lot recently too, if I wiggle it it’ll go off. I have also given it low priority, but it’s kind of annoying.

Usually it's faulty ground (or faulty absence of ground), i.e. wiring corrosion or similar. I've rarely found the in the actual receptacle, but sometimes blowing air into the receptacle will break something free. Sometimes squirting a load of contact cleaner into the receptacle and plunging the metal belt in a couple dozen times will solve it. But it's almost always the connection near the base of the belt strap thing, near where it mounts to the floor. There's almost always a connection to the body harness within a few inches after that bolt on the floor. Sometimes just cleaning that out with contact cleaner will solve the issue.

Cool, thanks for the advice, I’ll look at that first, sounds easiest. I did have an issue a while back where the latch wouldn’t spring back unless I jiggled it, but that went away, something may have fallen in at some point.

In my case, the seatbelt light likes to flash if I put something in the passenger seat, even if it doesn't weigh much. I should probably try the contact cleaner on my buckle because it likes to stick.
Yep. I ended up ordering from Serra because they were the exact same price as McGeorge and I already had everything in my cart. Got new LCA's for $212 each.

Oh, if not obvious from my other post, my goods arrived today, everything but extended links I guess, which I still need to order. Skipping Duros for now. Now I get to stare at it and get depressed for a couple of weeks until I can get off my ass and finally install it. Sucks.

Meanwhile, in case anyone was wondering, the $600 Eibach UCA are 100% SPC: https://www.tundras.com/threads/wha...-gen-tundra-today.2558/page-1500#post-2992772

Ah - Maybe an issue with the SRS seat occupancy sensor in the passenger seat, then? I don't remember how that works, though. There was one guy on here from Florida or something who pops in randomly who was trying to figure out how to bypass it, his was totally broken.

Your truck has the keyhole in the dash to turn pass seatbelt on/off, right? Does the position of that impact whether or not the belt flashes? My center dash light comes on if I put anything more than 15-20lb in the passenger seat.

Yeah, my passenger side seems to operate normally (does flash with a bit of weight on the seat), it’s my drivers side that flashes randomly while driving with my belt buckled.

Try blowing out the driver receptacle, then flood it with CRC contact cleaner, then latch/release the buckle a few times.

If that doesn't fix it, work backwards from there, first checking the wire connection near the floor mount.

I cringe every time I see that picture, I remember you posting it on other threads, but I don't want to hijack up that guy's build thread to say this:

I remember that fight. I get that same nauseating feeling in my stomach just seeing the picture, I don't even need to watch the video again.

Mind you - I'm the type of guy who eats a nice bloody stake while watching bodies get cut open on TV, or kin skin a buck, doesn't bother me. Something about the thought of snapping your tibia & fibula, and putting your full body weight down onto the broken bone stump like a foot is, like ... it's fingernails on a chalkboard to me.

I've broken bones. None were compound fractures like that. All were below the ankle or above the hip, so far (knock on wood). That's just ... ugh.

If the seatbelt light is on & you get in an accident, my understanding is the airbags won't deploy. That could matter, maybe push it higher on the to-do list.

Mine always stays pushed down unless I really mess with it. Seatbelt light doesn't flash and it doesn't ding when I start it. It latches just fine but I always wear my seatbelt so I just leave it be.

I was under the impression airbag function should be fine with seatbelt light on, but would not function if the airbag light is on.
