Takes a combo. And you gotta swirl the ball around in the bottom of the can every now and then.

Getting packed for my voyage. Anyone know the socket size for archive garage u bolt flip kit? Got breaker bar, two torque wrenches, 1/4 socket set, trim removal tools, extra keys, wire strippers / crimpers, fuses, butt connectors. Gonna skimp on heat shrink and just bring tape.

Yes, and I'll add flip the can upside down for some shakes as well
Not sure about the archive flip nuts, but I know I got aftermarket U-bolts and they were NOT the same size as OEM[/QUOTE]

OK, so instead of buying 2 new amps, I'm thinking about getting a 1000/1 v1 slash series amp to match the 300/4 I already have sitting here. Found one on fleabay for $500 shipped. Then I could put the RD 500/1 and shitty Walmart amp in the van, and donate the slash 500/1 to either gf or daughter.

For the wiring I'll probably just get the Crutchfield 1/0 amp kit, splitter fuse block, and RCA cables.

Is the 1000 AB or D? I’d go D for subs if purchasing even if it’ll not match.

Might need a bigger alternator for that sub if he wants it to shake fillings & house foundations as he cruises through neighborhoods.

    Yeah, its a class D.

I'm thinking about the 150A alt and big 3 upgrades too.

When I looked up the correct p/n (not sure if one you posted is technically right, I'd hafta look again) it showed clearly as "Discontinued" at the main Toyota Parts site. This could explain the nat'l backorder - they have no plans to remake. I also noticed on fleaBay, there is someone selling a 3rd party tailgate, but it's only for AC sadly.

Honestly, the Kicker kits are extremely good, I don't think they sell anything that's copper clad/tinned copper, it's all pure copper, O2-free cable. Sonic Electronix carries and usually has great prices already, but will pricematch if you find cheaper. I typically go with the 4awg kit ("CK4") for most normal installs where I'm not using a power distro block. Maybe PKD-1 is up your alley for this install? (link)

Those copper roofs are nice and last a good 100 years, but they are $$$.

I don't wanna deal with replacing the roof when I'm old. Pay twice now, deal with it once.

Good option, when you live in Connecticut. I could imagine the SoCal tweakers ripping off roof panels to resell the copper.

I didn't know about it until @Mr.bee posted up a link.

I wonder if it's a legit direct swap for a 2000 to 2002. Using the same oval plug or the square

Discharging under load, usually, triggered by heavy draw from bass hits.

Was it a gimmick? A lot of people said "Yes, totally". In concept the model is viable IMO.

There were other methods used, also. Phoenix Gold had a unit with an array of smaller caps making 10 farad, the "Power Grid", @bmf4069 has my old one today. Pics of that can be seen over here on this forum post.
