My mother left me for two hours alone at the community pool since she didn’t do a proper head count when everyone jumped in the station wagon to go home.

I was 8 at the time. Scarred for life.

j/k it only bothered me for a week. :D

Impressive but OSHA would fail that in a heartbeat without an emergency cutoff switch to prevent accidental human body mangling.

    Ah yes, the 'ol reacharaound!

I was impressed by how much and how widely broadcast my valve cover leaks were. It pretty much coated the entire bottom of the engine and skid. If it was heavy oil in the diff, I'd think one wipe and sniff would tell you clearly it's that. Motor oil, maybe not so much.

He was busting up some pretty big stuff after I took down an ornamental pear for him end of last year. Basically for something wide like that, You'd split one side, then flip over and hit the other. If it's still too much, you can finish with a maul.

Edit: Found a pic. Dad still puts me to work any time I visit. I'm no spring chicken, but the shaved head helps hide it. Pops is too old to be doing a lot of this shit.

That looks like 1.5 shiftys to me. At least width-wise. Shifty is like 120 lbs?

FOUND THE PROBLEM, BOSS! (I know, dry wood is a bitch to split, but it is HF so ...)

Yeah, naw. That's a weird angle so I look like Jabba the Hutt. It's surprisingly hard to take selfies with a chainsaw.

If you saw me in the wild, this is probably more what it'd look like, it's unusual to catch me without a hat on.

    upload_2022-11-11_10-21-48.jpg

And @alb1k on the topic of waves, this is probably the state you'll catch me in, especially if I'm not fishing.

180-185 normally and a in the low 6's heightwise. Actually I'm not far off from that Matt dude, physique-wise. I just drink a lil more beer. And I don't surf anymore.

Maybe lose the smile, put on a skull cap and pose holding a cordless sawzall, yeah, that would do it.

Drinking less helps, it's empty calories.

I was up at 225-235 at one point in my life, not long after I left my last BOH restaurant job to work in the tech industry, where I was given all the soft drinks in the world I wanted, and you could catch me hitting MickeyD's to cash in on the $1 double cheeseburger deals, where I'd pick up several for lunch. I'd never really had money before, so there was an unfortunately fattening novelty to being able to buy and eat 3-4 double cheeseburgers each time instead of getting just one, or two on a special day. When I realized I had a double chin I had to cut back.

I'm lucky. No athletes in my immediate family, but definitely athletic genes so I don't tend to hold weight, except beer gut. Just taking the soft drinks out of my diet and I lost about 25lbs in 6 months. They say one soda is equivalent to eating 6 glazed donnuts. If I cut out beer, bourbon, and mezcal from my life, I could probably get into the 170s again.
