finish the red or blue one. I'd try a bigger cab. ;-) (but you'd have to keep those stupid '17 rims I have on it - LOL. Looks so ghetto)

Well, this weekend doesnt work for me either, i was definitely going to use that as an excuse to get out of going to a wedding, but mom and grandma teamed up and harrassed me into it. Luckily, its in dripping springs, and prime motorcycle road territory. Just a shame i didnt have enough warning to order a suit.

superior to OEM. I’m about 18 months and 30k miles deep into guinea piggin these, and rock solid so far. The fact that they come with a million mile warranty, that says somethin about their failure rate. I kick myself for not taking pics, but I had them side by side to the OEM’s and the difference was obvious. Impressive enough to also buy the tie rod ends. I’ll let you all know if they fail, but I wouldn’t hold my breath on that.

    https://www.ebay.com/itm/1836146520...WqxvA8JQ7y&var=&widget_ver=artemis&media=COPY

Edit: to add, they do also come with mounting bolts, nut and cotter pin, and the ball joints are sealed, so no need to grease them ever. IF a boot was ever somehow compromised (cracked or torn) they will replace them. The boots are super thick and heavy rubber. Mine are still intact and sealed.

Right, I don't have an older model, so no older model upgrade to make. Could be a good upgrade for a lot our people with 00-02 trucks though.

Honestly, if you don't suspect your body is going to change much in the next 5-10 years, just swallow your pride for a minute and hit a mall with a Macy's in it or something, get a decent pair off pants and a jacket fitted. I got out the door with a nice Hugo Boss 3-button wool suit at Macy's, tailored to fit, with two shirts, for $450 about 14 years ago, and I've worn that damn suit a couple dozen times to all kinds of shit. I just had to wear again while off in Iceland for some event. Damn thing is still kicking. Every city has a Joseph A. Banks (or Jo Banks) which is another decent source.

it was a one piece spandex bodysuit. For the lolz. I've got leather shoes, black jeans, and an embroidered pearlsnap shirt. I dont plan on staying long, i'll say hi to everyone, then try to sneak off on the buell. Weddings and funerals dont really interest me much, and if i stay, i'll drink, and if i drink, i'm less likely to make it home. My half uncles getting married, and i coulda sent my condolences over a text.

I feel like I remember someone talking about a trans mount Polyurethane conversion. Does that ring any bells? I'm not finding anything in 2005 DC 2WD range.

Not poly, but I thought I read that the motor mount guy was going to eventually prototype a trans mount too

    Some info in these threads.

    https://forum.ih8mud.com/threads/a-beginners-guide-to-buying-a-used-gx470.856541/

    https://lexusgxor.com/general:purchasing

    https://expeditionportal.com/forum/...guide-what-should-i-look-for-avoid-etc.78962/

There are also some YouTube videos on the subject. I went down the rabbit hole a while back when looking. The things that I remember were related to the navigation system (non-nav is better) and finding one that already had the dash recall done. Other than that they have similar issues as our truck such as the rare pink milkshake and the air injection pump failures with VVTI models.

My friend had the engine seize on his GX470 and it was likely due to running it out of coolant. He was across the country visiting family so he sold it for a huge loss and bought another one in TN.

Unbelievable...called the IRS tax advocate, then they routed me to account management.

Account management routes me to the tax law dept for income and then after 3 hours on hold (total time) I get bounced back to the main number without a reason why.

Most likely because they're closed at 5:10 pm EST I'm guessing. :annoyed:

I think he is lookin at an LX which is the Lexus version of the Landcruiser, not a GX.

98-2002 LX had the four speed transmission, 2003 got the 5 speed and still has a transmission fill tube, 2004-2005 is 5 speed with no fill tube, and 2006-07 is a five speed and changed over to the vvti engine with more horsepower.

All of the Lexus models will have the hydraulic suspension system, and it will have NAV for that year. Even the land cruisers had NAV from 2003 on.

Local shop didn’t have a mobile spring compressor and couldn’t get them down without compressing. Kinda annoying Accutune set me up this high. It was a few dozen emails to get these shocks tuned up, ordered exactly what they said to order, paid through the nose.
