Booked a flight to SD for the 19th. Planning to drive the Tundra home on the 21st. I’ll need an alignment that morning though so I’m no sure I can finish the drive unless I fix the headlights.

My front bumper is ready too so I’ll be able to pick that up on the way.

I don’t know if you ever drove the 4.6L there @Tundra2 but it has little to no low end torque and sux to drive. I think our 4.7L has more IMO or at least it feels like it does.

Never drove it. Other than .1 of a liter... what's the difference between the two engines? Worth a Google. BRB

I can’t say exactly offhand but I believe most of the torque is in the higher end of the rpm spectrum for the 4.6L compared to the 4.7L.

It doesn’t work because the 2nd gen truck is heavier than the 1st gen. And a huge wind break. That’s my understanding.

To the best of my limited knowledge, the 4.6 is basically a shorter stoke version of the 5.7. But I could be wrong, I often am.

Was passengering in Deaborn today & saw a F150 Raptor drive by. about 10 cars later a Ranger Raptor drove by - first I've ever seen.
Then saw something wrapped in black garbage bags - best guess is next Mustang. Sure are a lot of 'Merican cars in MI.

Save yourself a lot of heart ache. Get a tax advocate from the IRS. and don't call from a business with an extension - they don't have room for extensions when you leave callback digits.

True. But that one was that weird red shade too. Like the ‘birth control gold’, it takes a special someone to ignore the outside and remembered, it’s a Tundra.

Do they have access to my records? I have a 1099-INT that says I got an interest payment from them yet my refund last year was exactly as I declared it.

Also no separate check in the mail.

Same-ish. They insist we got more of the child/stimulus checks than we cashed. It’s a battle, trying to reach anyone. After I couldn’t get through on the phone, I submitted a written claim to extend my window to reach someone <sigh> then, months later, received a form in the mail. Looks like I’m to re-write what I did before on this form, both of us sign it… then submit to start the next step….

How were you able to prove you didn’t get those checks/cash them? We got the same run around and ending up folding, we STILL haven’t got 2019 return………

If you consistently take the pounding, guess who'll always come to you for more? You're not legally obligated to fill in the blanks. If your employer doesn't understand "damn, I can always rely on this guy when we need it" and hasn't been reliably compensating you above and beyond what's mandatory (OT, promotion, etc.) for that reliability, then you have zero reason to make yourself available other than "I need the money".

Furthermore, if they're losing people and not re-hiring to fill the position, i.e. they're putting more workload on their staff while they save tens or hundreds of thousands per year on labor and benefits, and they're not raising everyone's wages to compensate for the extra work, f'em, they're making you out to be a SUCKER because all that extra money is going into their pockets, and anyone staying on-board to take that added workload and punishment is enabling it to be this way.

If you really need the money, and you don't think it's going to get better, find another gig. This is a great time to bounce elsewhere and likely get more pay. Unless there's some special relationship, a job is a job, you don't owe them anything, and if they're not giving you extras, paying bonuses while you're down staff, giving you perks for working extra shifts, then they obviously don't think they owe you anything, you're just another tool in their box, paying for their comfortable retirement.

Too bad they didn't make a RCLB stepside. The stretch bed could make it look really cool.

I guess one way is to wait until the check expires which should be 90-180 days. If they don't have access to their accounts payable to see if a check has not been cashed, then it's going to be a nightmare.

Haven’t proven it, and will never be able to. What I can prove is, we never cashed or deposited more than what we reported on our tax returns. So the form I recently received is an IRS document where I may write again what I already reported— that I did not receive the benefits— and we’ll both sign under penalty of perjury, then send it back and hope someone addresses our claim, once it’s on the “proper form”.

The process delays are irritating; having to pull out all my past notes and refresh my memory to report it all again is irritating. Not being able to “talk to someone” and resolve it is irritating… I mean, doesn’t the IRS have a way to reconcile how much money was transferred from their account to mine?!

All I see is a cartoonish snake, where the semi-circle over the pony is making a big, button nose.
