damn, that's about eye-level for Oeghan (I know I fukt that up) isn't it? I guess it'll only take him once too tho huh? I'm not tryin to bash your setup, just seems like they're out there. I'd probably put hinges on them to fold up, especially with the tallywhacker at stake.

3.4 truck is what i have a frame for. 05-06 requires some modification to make stuff fit.

I can’t get past the first pic because I don’t do meta, but if it’s a 2nd gen single cab, @Cruzer is lookin’. Although, I dunno, it’d be hard for me to check his current one aside, kinda wasted as a daily driver in asphalt….
Wanna come play in the sand with us, late January? We’ll be freeway close… take Interstate 10, divert down to Interstate 8 where AZ meets CA, and meet us at Superstition. Aired down, our trucks rock in sand!

Long weekend, I'm tired. Inching closer with the garage. Planning the Tundra drive north. Logistics get complicated, not sure if I'm flying down with 3 bike racks or shipping them or trying to just stuff it full and hope I don't trash the bikes too bad. Could probably buy some lumber and build a quick rack on top of the bumpers that will have to sit in the bed along with the spare. Hmmm. Almost there with the shelves up high, need to do more screws to the beam to be 100% confident it'll hold max weight. Then some light and audio re-org for my workbench on the other side.

Nice to walk barefoot in the garage and come away with clean feet. That's something I took for granted for a while in the old house.

Lol, no Superstition is one sandy mountain area in Imperial County. Way Southeast of Borrego Springs, near Brawley and Imperial. Same overall desert, but nowehere near Borrego.

I busted my teets off working and saving for San G, I think I worked 6-7 weeks straight, milking all the OT that was available. I think I had a few 150+hr two week checks.

Dude. Superstition is legit like 30 miles from borrego. You've gotta keep in mind, he's talkin about a 20 hour drive to get there. On that scale, superstition and borrego are right next to one and other. Lets just make sure he knows the difference between the city of Ocotillo, and Ocotillo Wells, cuz they're equally as far apart or close together.

Bro.... hate to tell you this, but gas is over $6/gal here

    Yep.
I know Bob’s not wrong about there being more than one “Superstition”, so I looked through your search results. I like this link, because, wow!, it linked through to a lot of good stuff!

    https://www.californiatrailmap.com/TrailFinder/Superstition-Mountain-Off-Highway-Vehicle-Area/

So you’ll for sure be there!
I don’t have any knowledge of one near Borrego Spings. But. It is pretty typical to do a trail run from camp on Superstition Mountain along along train tracks, west into “Anza-Borrego”. Maybe that’s what your searches were picking up on.

@daveeasa I have an extra tow hitch mount bike carrier you can have. I need to put eyes on it to verify, but I think it holds 4.

Hah, that’s an idea. Trade mirrors for a bike rack. That would definitely cut down on bulk.
