Sadly, the car wrap scammers have appeared to back out. While they produced a tracking number for the check, they never actually sent it. No surprise there.

Guess they don’t want to play. o_O

I knew what you meant. But I got a kick out of your imprecise language— instant Hanna-Barberra cartoon in my head: this boy skunk in your house, ‘semi-hysterical and not sure what happened’. No matter how funny the actual events, my interpretation was even more so. :p

Something I find very amusing: when I’m in traffic and any Ram or ridiculously modded non-Tundra truck pulls up next to me at the limit line and— especially if I’ve already noticed it being driven in a$$4@13 fashion— if I catch the vibe that they’ll take off hot when the light changes, I do too but without any kind of exhibition. I just let the V8 do it’s thing, and stay just slightly ahead at the front fender. Calmly stop at the next light, but a couple feet back from the line so the driver can pull up and see it’s a mom driver. I’m always careful not to look over but my passengers tell me the reactions are super exaggerated surprise and embarrassment. So, I’ve got this going on.

That 4.88 and 275/70/17 setup I had for a minute was so much fun. Nobody could see it coming.

Sorry to interrupt the regular banter of the lunch table, but has anyone installed a Power Inverter in their tundra? I've done some searching and can't really find anything.

I think Monday I’ll call the bank to see if the check is valid and funds are present and then follow it up with the US postal inspection service.

(That’s of course after I mess with them via text when they try to get a hold of me about paying the installer some money)

Last time one of ours got sprayed he took a ride in the truck bed to the groomers. Wasn't cheap but it was done a whole lot quicker than I would have done it and he didn't smell like 7 butts for weeks.

"asshats" has to be one of the best derogatory descriptors of all time. Amazon suggestions below still show something stupid, clean it up people. haha

Dog got the tomato sauce treatment last night, the hydrogen peroxide mix and the skunk bottle bath today. Dog smells pretty good. The area rug, 6-7 pillows, mattress cover and some other random stuff are going away. It was a 5 bill night, lol

I’m currently planning to address the scammer as Big-G and tell him my gangbanger roommate took the two and a half stacks and spent it on hookers and blow. Then I’ll ask for another check, “kindly”, as in “Would you kindly send another check?”.

Anyone have a better idea? I’m all ears.

If you cashed it at a shady check cashing place, wouldn’t that resolve you of any ties or possibly liabilities?

No only way out is to drive to Delaware and cash it at the issuing bank if funds are verified (if they willing to say). You can still be held responsible at a check cashing place.

You need to find some seedier cashing places. I had a check stolen from a side job, I think off the truck, the check cashing place called the person who wrote it and he said don’t let them cash it, they left and came back to the same one 2 hours later and cashed it…..
